As far the cat, he had to stay overnight.

The poor guy was squatting every 2 minutes to pee and nothing was coming out. Apparently it can be pretty serious, especially for male cats, so we took him in.

I have not heard from them, which is good. I am supposed to call this afternoon.

I'm a terrible mom. He was making this hilarious mouth open face while at the vet so I took a picture. He looks pissed:

Open mouthed breathing is a sign of stress in kitties.  You ARE a terrible mom Wink

Glad you noticed and took him in right away though, it is serious, for sure.

He really is a pretty little cat. Is this the one that hates you?

No, that is baby izz (Izabelle Boomquisha is her real name)

Maybe she hates you because you take pics of them when they are not feeling well? Sealed

Asalzwed - 2013-05-15 8:41 AM Uhh so, I had an interesting afternoon evening yesterday. Without getting into the details, a rough summary:1. Did whole swim workout with suit on inside out2. Had to take cat to ER3. FIL was staying at our house last night before he left for hike and was borrowing Js iPad. He decided to look at the pictures and saw a umm err scantily clad photo of myself.

1.  Meh, whatever

2. Is kitty ok?

3. Bahahahahahahahahahahahaha.  Sorry, but that is funny.  We were showing some pics from our trip to Singapore to some friends when a similar thing happened...

123blahblahblahSINGAPOREPICSYES???

Happy Birthday--and you would like to see some Singapore pics is that what you are saying?  I'll have to find them...

Are we talking Singapore pics or SINGAPORE pics? Apparently you can upload them to your albums??? Smile

*Shhh don't tell Yanti, I think she's a mod

Oh, just Singapore pics.  Yanti, if you are looking for SINGAPORE pics, that's not going to happen Wink

What book? Hey, you should let me buy you a book! I mean, I hardly feel like I owe you anything since you get such joy out of my misery, but I need to pay you in one form or another for you OLY-writing services.

Nah, books are expensive. Unless you want to buy me one for my e-reader! I'm sure that's possible. Somehow.

Frankly, it's hard to make me as happy as your misery does

What was that awesome book you said I should read?

Half a yellow sun.

Can you buy your books on amazon? Or, where do you buy your e-books?

I'm sure as sh*t not shipping anything to you. I can't handle that stress but once a decade.

Don't let your pets destroy the twin Manatee Mug before I can get there. Mutti will cry.

Oh yeah! I was just reading her biography in Time magazine. Very, very cool.

The one nobody uses and has never heard of, but I love it. It was cheap, on sale in Melbourne Airport, and I have no problem getting weird hard-to-get books on it.

Heh. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's. Not Mutti's. Although the TIME Millennium Edition did have a picture taken by our friend Charles Dharapak of the New Year's party my sister threw in Bali for 2000.

Most of my digital books were bought via iBooks, but I do have one on kindle that was interesting :Behind the scenes or 30 years a slave and 4 years in the White House by Elizabeth Keckly. She was Mary Lincoln's dress maker and friend during the White House years and right after the assassination. Gives an interesting look at the Lincoln's - especially Mary. It is a very quick read. Of course, now that I think about it, this may have been free on Amazon.

Breaking news:

Kellogg's has debuted two new Pop-Tarts flavors: peanut butter and frosted peanut butter. The "Gone Nutty" varieties, which both contain a peanut butter filling, pack a sugary punch -- the peanut butter flavor is topped with a sprinkling of sugar crystals and the frosted chocolate flavor features a frosted chocolate crust.

I will be all over the frosted PB!!

OK, this just inspired me to ask my baker-friend/work wife to try and do a home made twist on a pop tart.
