I didn't get my core done until midnight last night.  Been burning the candle at both ends.  There are not enough hours in the day.

I had to get fitted after work for tux for daughter's wedding this weekend, then change the brake pads/rotor on the SUV, broke a ratchet extension and had to go to secondary tools turning the job into a 3 hour nightmare, got in 45 minutes on the trainer and then core, had dinner right before going to bed at 12:30.

On top of that I've been working on replacing some windows in the house, building a remoted control hydroplane with my son, and restoring a '67 Mustang that I have to finish before Christmas because it's a present to my Dad.  Anybody got Chip Foose's number? Cry

I don't know what gets you more awesome points, ^^^^this stuff, or that adorable picture with your son.  Dang Steve, ya da man :)

Thanks but this little guy is da man.  He is such a sweetheart.

He certainly is!  Are those his wedding duds?

He likes cars like his old man, huh?

And I love seeing your radiator and beautiful trim :)

Yep, he'll be stylin' at the wedding.  He actually thinks he's some kind of Chicago gangster as he has a chrome pistol in his pocket.

You certainly don't miss much do you.  Of course he loves cars.  On Saturday, I took Porschey to Seattle to drop off with a friend who is selling it for me and he was quite upset.  Oh well, wait til he sees what I got coming.  Hee Hee Hee!!

I'll never grow up.

20 minutes of core tonight. Had to catch up from yesterday when I just plain forgot to do it.
I'm all current now.

12 days of tardiness:

1-wall walk (bottom of feet flat on wall, push-up then walk feet up wall till chest touches or as close as possible/ back down then push-up)
2-#45 GTOH plate starts on ground, grab it in a squat position. end with arms locked out and plate over head
3-burpees
4-arm rotations
5-4 count flutter kicks
6-v sits ups
7-#50 1 leg dead lifts
8-push ups
9-sit ups
10-air squats
11- pull ups
12- mountain climbers

start with 1 then 2,1/3,2,1......till you get to 12 (not all core but enough to count it)

I love how much kids get into a "character" when they play. My oldest is REALLY into star wars right now. I came home from work the other day and he was Anakin Skywalker, complete with the scowl..... It was great!

Do any of y'alls kids do tri's? My girl told me that now that she is 5 she wants to do triathlon like daddy (which is funny since I have only done 2 and she never sees me train). Are there short ones? she can swim 25yds without help (I'm in the pool though), bike with training wheels and runs all the time.

My girls, 6 and 8, started doing tris this year.  Like your daughter, they saw me training and asked if they could do one.  So we found a great series, Ironkids, and they've done two races with a third ("Nationals") this weekend.  They love it.  It's really well run, and the emphasis feels like it's on the kids having fun, which is where it should be.

For the Ironkids series, the "juniors" (6-8yo) swim 50yds, bike 2 miles, and run 500yds.  The run to transition from swim to bike is sometimes close to the run distance :)  It's very doable, lots of good staff, and only $35 if you register them ahead of time.

More kids should do. Stuff, whatever stuff they can do. Get her training and smiling and it is all good!

If you are ever wondering how strong kids are:

My daughter actually did her first tri (at 8YO) a day before my first.  She's doing another one with me next weekend.  The one she is doing is an OWS in water you can stand up in (100y/2mi/.5mi SBR).  She started swimming year-round last September so I told her if she doesn't bulldoze her way through the swim she's going to be disowned. Laughing  We do swim workouts together, and I have no embarrassment in saying that the 11YO is faster than me at everything but freestyle right now.  She likes biking, but not running (just like her mom).

There are a bunch out there...go to trifind.com and they usually have everything listed in your state.

Nice ride Steve!!!

Went to the doc yesterday about my foot. He took X-Rays, didn't see anything so he thinks it is PF. He put my on a 6 day anti-inflammatory drug pack and told me not to run for 6 weeks.

Didn't do any abs last night, i'll catch up tonight.....
