Good morning everyone!  It feels very strange to be up and not heading out for my run.  But today is Tuesday, which is the day I meet my friend Dan after work for a run.  He's an RRCA certified coach, and he likes to torture me!  I decided to continue being a grown-up and not overdo the workouts this week, after being sick last week.  So this morning I'm on BT instead of running -- how strange!

I hope everyone has a great day.

DD had to go to the doc this morning,  "it burns when I pee pee".........  so mommy got to play catch the pee pee in the tiny little cup ! How can a pediatritians office NOT have the hats that sit INSIDE the flipping pot so you do not have to get pee all over ?............UGH

Anyway, those restuls will be back by Friday, until then it's just a cream to make her tushy feel better.   Poor thing.......

So all that said, no swim this morning....... I have no sitter so i won't be running or biking......good grief.........

wow...snowing eh...it is cold here, but I think it has only snowed a handful of times in the bay area in the 20 years we have lived here....stay warm. And why are you not signing up for danskin today? seems like a good day to me.

Today I am better than yesterday, and I hope to get better each day...because I would love to ride my bike, run or swim and at this point none of that is possible.
So when you guys are out there doing a run, bike or swim....think of Amy in Indiana

I am not doing a great deal of focusing. Sorry team! I guess when I blew out my knee I didnt realize how much that would kill my morale! I have been hopping about all your training logs and see that many of you are staying very focused and doing fabulous on keeping those calendars peach colored! keep it up~ I hope that you will try and spread some of that motivation to the others who are needing a little gentle nudge, push or shove. I for one of the ones who need a shove to the pool. Today it was sunny and in the upper 40's...I just did not want to swim outdoors...and looked at the bike a few times today...but never got on it!

I am driving to Santa Barbara tomorrow with my dh. He has a conference. I have a few good books, my swim suit, sweats for working out in, some beading that I plan on finshing and plan on lots of dog walks, and we are bringing our road bikes for the weekend. My dh says he has special plans for valentines day....so with that I will say....stay focused team...and have a great valentines day! and weekend! even though it is only Tuesday...not sure if I will find the time to get back on...and I am not bringing a laptop...so, will be at the mercy of our hotel. not sure if dh is bringing his!? i will try and get back on before next week!

FOCUS IS THE WORD OF THE DAY FOR EVERY DAY OF FEBRUARY. I am starting tomorrow....wish I could say today...but it is almost 7pm and dinner is waiting. I will make my dh take a walk with me and the dog. HAPPY soon to be VALENTINES Day! and have a fabulous week/weekend! dont let us slip to the second page...but more important then that is FOCUS!

Julie, I'm sorry you are having a difficult time focusing.  But it's probably just a little blip, and you'll be back at it again soon.  Enjoy Santa Barbara!

Amy, I'm so glad you popped back in again, and am really sorry that you still aren't feeling well.  I hope good health comes your way again very soon!

For those of you who follow my Torture Dan Tuesdays, he took pity on me yesterday and all we did is run.  I know, how boring can you get?  We did take a run through the trees and it was mighty dark by the end, but I managed to stay upright and not trip on any roots.  He says we'll do something similar next week (although I see intervals in my future), but then the following week it's back to the track.  Gee, I can't wait.

I'm heading out for a run now, and that's all I'll have time for today.  I hope everyone here has a great training day!

Hi team !  I have a bit of catching up to do, but wanted to check in for the day.

Amy M,  I was THRILLED to see your post !  Then unthrilled (is that a word ?....lol) to see you are sick !  This time of year is just crazy in Indiana, everytime the seasons start to change sickness is everywhere !  I do hope you feel better soon!

Julee.....sounds like a wonderful trip with DH !  Here's hoping you get to have tons of fun and relaxation !

For everyone else, have a great day and lots of exercise ! smile.........  I'm off to the gym to do strength, then at 5:00 tonight is tri swim group, then 8:00 tonight is spin class........ after that I plan to lay in the parking lot of the Y and sleep ! lol

I had a nice run this morning, just enjoying the warm temperature and the approaching dawn. Pretty soon it will be light for my morning run but then the time change will take that away for another 4 weeks (boo!) The time change will allow me to start biking to work again and still get home before dark (yeah!)

Rolled my ankle a bit early in the run but it's ok.

I'm thinking about breaking my peachy streak and taking tomorrow as a rest day...or maybe, just take the morning off and get in some Pilates in the evening while my daughter is at dance and keep the streak alive!

it's still too snowy to run, BUT i just found out that my brother (who's about the biggest slacker i know) joined that gym that i was "trying out" a while back. he takes his middle son in there (his obese middle son) for an hour every day. this is SUCH a good thing, first of all, my brother showing inititive?!? who would have thought, second, an hour of time with his dad, AND working out is SO what that middle guy needed!! already showing good good signs, AND my brother can take "guests" in there, so i'm kind of hoping that i can tag along to their 4pm-after-school session, and hop on the treadmill (like my dad would say, "you should never hop on a treadmil yuk yuk yuk" but i'm off to costco this morning, and will pretty much be out and about most of the day. (dh off today and tomorrow)

good to hear from you all--smiles from snowy washington.

I'm in!  I'm in!

Hope everyone is doing well.  I'm almost caught up on my training for the week.  Almost got in a little fight in the gym locker room yesterday morning, too.  Someone had come in to spin class after we started and expected someone to give up a bike for her as she had her name on some list the rest of us asked about, but were told didn't exist.  Then I heard her talking in the locker room about who she thought should have given up their bike for her as the person that did give up their bike for her was saying she had been there since 4:00 a.m. and had started warming up at 5:00 a.m., etc.  Anyway, I jumped in at that point with "nobody should have given up their bike for you..."  Full story in my blog.

My training plan is burning me out and I'm only on week 6 of 20.  I am supposed to run 2 1/2 hours on Saturday and bike 4 hours Sunday...which will not happen due to my older daughter's ski race Saturday and my little one's hockey tournament Sunday.  I'm thinking of trying to cram some extra stuff in tonight.

Happy Hump Day!!!!

I am here, not dead...at least if you consider that going to sleep at 8PM is tired-but -not-dead-yet! I will take time tomorrow to check on everyone logs. Just keeping up with all you energizer bunnies is a workout in itself!

I went swimming this week and hope to be able to fit this workout on monday nights. As for working out everyday...can dodging my boss (or coworkers) demands count?! i consider it speedwork

andria:sorry to see you have a membership at "i am rude" gym. Come to my parts, people are nicer!

Happy Thursday all !

In a few minutes I am off for highlights and a pedi ! WOOHOO

Now, I took a good look at my training log and noticed an area I'd never payed attention to.  It's the part where it totals up what you have done "so many hours of swim, so many hours of bike etc".  I am horrified !  I feel like I exercise all the time, and in totals it's like 'only 6 hours of swimming".

Just a real jaw dropping moment I guess, I am just not putting in enough time. HOWEVER, I am limited to the time I can put in so I guess I am lucky I only want to do sprint tri's !

What time period are you tallying over: this month, last month, 2009, 2008? Worry more about quality than quantity. (I'm only at 8hrs of swimming for this year)
