Well..yesterday morning I was NOT able to get up for a morning run and instead did a short jog in the evening.  It was warmer and HUMID here - first day really this summer.  It wasn't easy, but I did a mile.  This morning I got up and did a longer run on the dreadmill...and am in such a better mood!

Woo Hoo I was able to mow the lawn today before it turned into a jungle and between rain days.  Is everyone else having a rainy and cool start to their summer?

Rainy yes...major thunderstorms but not cool by any stretch. I'm near Daytona Beach (FL). Since May we have been in the 90's and this weekend will be the hottest so far this year. They say it will feel like the 100's!! No rain in sight for two days so we will stay cool in the pool or play at the beach.

chartierm22 - 2009-06-17 10:56 PM Do you all try to get a certain amount of protein and cals in your diet and if so how did you pick that amount?

No, I don't want to overthink about it. I listen to my body and eat till I'm almost full. I follow a mediteranian diet with losts of fruits, veggies, beans, fish, extra virgin olive oil etc
I do drink 1-2 Protein shakes a day, as I'm not a huge fun of meat, especially red meat.

Morning June Bugs! **Morning toppage**

I got a 4.66 mile run in this morning. Had planned to run 6 miles but didn't get out early enough and the heat was brutal so I switched my turnaround. I definitely need to start running with water but don't feel comfortable holding it during the run. Any suggestions?

Running w/ H2O - I have a belt that I'll put just one little bottle on vs the 2 it came with. I also have a hand held bottle thing.
