A CT ride and a short swim tonight.

That is the most valuable learning of all Fred.  When I take a recovery week (last week for me) it still feels hard.  I feel the recovery by the end of the recovery week and definitely the next week.

I posted in the forums, unlike me but I couldn’t take her wining any more.

5 miler done...nice sunrise run this morning, even though it's overcast and dreary outside.

Done for the training week...now getting ready to head out for a banquet where Nik will be honored as the regional VFW Teacher of the Year. Smile

Later to my mom's for our Super Bowl traditional meal...ribs, cole slaw, potato salad and the works. Not really into the game this year...I'm guessing I'll be asleep before the 4th quarter.

Brrr...  I forgot that the race was at a higher altitude then I live at.  I made a mistake of looking at the temp on the way to the race, saw 32, and went WTF?  And crazy windy here today as well.  Thankfully I had enough clothes.  Still short weather for me.  I had a good race.  Always fun to run on trail.  I don't do enough of it, it is always so much fun.  I started too fast though, started to get the tell tail stomach ache and backed it off a bit.  Had a nice dark beer and mexican breakfast post race.  Beer by 9AM.  What's there to complain about really?  Didn't stay around for the awards though, they generally speaking take too long, so no idea where I placed, but it was a pretty small race, capped at 250.

Sounds like an awesome day.  Way to go Nik, quite the award.

I'm with you on the game, not so into it.  Tina and I are heading over to a friends to watch it but when she leaves to go back to work I might bail.  Unless I am having fun of course...

Nice job Rudy! Question? How did you line up so many sponsors?

one sponsor that is working with a bunch of other companies. Eleonore Rocks gets product discounts from all the other companies and some freebies. The admins from ER own Infinit also, but it is mostly discounts to product to team members.

Yay for me, got a 2.5 or so minute 10k PR this morning. Still not super fast at 52 and change, but things moving in the right direction. And 6 minutes faster than last year. We followed it up with a solid 2 hour ride (so I actually held back slightly on the run). Done and done. Not sure I cars about the game as I will probably sleep thru most of it.

Nice job Chris and Kim!

I raced the XTERRA McDowell Mountain 15 Mile Trail Race today. I can attest to what Kim said, it was breezy today. Had a good run, was 7th OA and 1st in the AG finishing the 15.2 or so in 1:42. About 4min off my time from last year but I was in really good run form then. Still working my way back from taking time off running to rehab my torn fascia, but coming along. The guy who was 2nd in the AG today is a friend who beat me by 5min at my first race back a few weeks ago, so my run fitness is heading in the right direction for sure, just need to stay healthy.

Wow, congrats to Nik!

Thanks!  It is nice to get an award every now and then.  It was a lot of fun at the banquet and I am very honored to have recieved this award from the VFW.

Nice job Kim, Chris & Bryan!  I am starting to get the itch to do another race here soon.

I got in a 12.75 mile trail run today and the weather was absolutely perfect.  I have never seen so many people on the trails in the middle of July let alone February...crazy weather this year.

41 miles of running this week so happy with that.

Close game right now in the Super Bowl...should be a nice ending.

Congratulations Kim, Chris and Bryan for your race this past.

My work schedule has done a complete flip.  I am not working most mornings.  Which is ok, I have adapted more than once to life changes.  Besides now I can get in those earl morning swims that I love again.

My planned race year is shaping up.  I now have a 10 mile run and Marathon to the list.  I am even considering B2B iron distance if I can swing the funding.  Today is a pm swim and pm run.

Have a great day everybody!

Congrats to all who raced over the weekend!
Seems it's my turn to be ill. There's a nasty bug going round at the moment and I've well and truely caught it. Resting heart rate of 105 and most of the night being sick means all training is off for now
