Everything goes in the bag. Nothing gets left by your bike or it will get picked up and thrown away.

Than your wetsuit, goggles, cap etc...goes into the bike bag in the transition tent.

Hope that helps.

Just a suggestion, double bag your stuff! I put all of mine in some cinch type garbage bags before putting them in the transition bags.

Yup, everything goes in the bag. It's stated pretty clearly in the Athlete guide. However, they don't throw it away - they put it in Lost and Found.

I assume leaving your computer on the bike the morning of is ok right? Just realized today there's no way it's going under my wetsuit and I don't trust the quick release in OWS. Was just planning on putting my 910 on the QR on my bike tomorrow morning.

That is my plan. You plan on getting it going when you drop it off or are you going to turn it on and wait for it to start up during T1? I plan on putting my 310 on the bike in the morning, but I have not decided if I want to start it right before I got warm up in the swim area. Sometimes it is slow to acquire satellites.

Putting everything in the bags sucks. I like to put my helmet and sunglasses and what not on my bike. Much easier in T1 then a big bag full of stuff, but I guess those are the rules.
Thanks for the input.

Hey Brad, I see you are also using MyAthleteLive - I was thinking I would put mine in the T1 bag that I drop off today, and then turn it on prior to the swim tomorrow.  Is that your plan?  I'm assuming we have access to our bike gear bag in the morning, and even if not, it doesn't seem to take long to acquire a lock.

Anybody else using MyAthlete GPS?

- Ron Brueher

Hey Ron,

I was planning on charging mine tonight and bringing down to my bike in the morning, pump up my tires, chain lube and turn on the GPS tracker and clip it to my bento box.

I'm also going to see if they'll put BT on my calf in the morning so people can yell out, "Hey slow poke BT'er as they pass me" OR "Hey BT'er you're riding to fast" :-)

Right now I'm thinking of turning it on as I head to the water and let the satellite lock. If I'm late and the battery dies, I'm not sure knowing you pace really helps you much anyway.

I'll be in the 1:20-1:30 range. Although the more I think about it the more I want to move farther back. I just gotta pack these special needs bags and Lay down.
Eric we still on for pick up in the morning?

Definitely, I will text when I head out. When I drove by today to drop my gear off it didn't take a full 20 minutes.

Good luck everyone!

I'll be swim seeding around the 1:30 mark...not sure in which group as I think that is a split time.

After driving the bike course today, I may have to re-evaluate my time strategy...Those climbs are no joke..lol

Cheers,

I missed out too... things just got wildly hectic in the last few days - I'd like to have that beer though, I'll keep an eye out here on when folks plan to meet up.

Best of luck to everyone - it's been an amazing journey, whatever happens tomorrow!

Good luck today, racers!  I'll be following along until bedtime (and since I'm halfway around the world, you'll probably be somewhere on the bike when it's my bedtime) and then can't wait to see the results in the morning!

My awesome nutritionist (the brains behind my first non-porta-potty touring IM run last fall) will be out there with you guys doing her first Ironman.  Go, Dina, GO!

Good luck today my fellow racers. I sure hope 3 hours is enough sleep for one of these because I was so restless last night. Went to bed at 7:30 fell asleep at 11. Up at 2:30. I'm excited and more than a bit scared. I'll be happy when the swim is over, but I'm sure I'll regret that comment when I hit Mica the second time today.

I'm late getting this url posted but here's a link that has each BT member and their splits all on 1 page.  I missed getting all of the splits prior to Bike Split 4.

I had a slice and a quarter it was not good. Half a cookie, ok, a milk = good.

BTW you did very well considering you have no experience with this. I think I passed you on the bike at one point during the race but wasn't sure it was you so I didn't say anything lol.

come up with a place to meet. I know most are probably valley, CDA area so it would make sense to try to meet somewhere valley, post falls area.

I was going to check out the deal tomorrow at the park I think but would love to meet up for that well deserved beer!
