I am at 50% of my running goal and it doesn't look like I will be able to run 90km till the end of the month It just hurts too much to run on it, I just don't want to get it worst and be stuck with it for the entire summer I'm sorry that you are hurt! Are you planning to shut everything down or just the running, or are you just going to scale back on the running? There are always provisions for injury. Tell me what you want to do and we'll see if we can keep you in the challenge. I will keep doing my bike and swim for the month. As for the running, my plan is to take the week off since I have my first tri ever, then I will finally be a triathlete , next Sunday. After that I will see how the itb will feel. I might restart doing some walk/run after but I can't say yet sadly. If you want to stay in the challenge, your "injury option" is that you total up the number of days you take off (e.g., 7 ) and divide that by the days in the month (31 ) to determine the proportion of your goal to subtract. In your case this comes to 42.9km to subtract from your goal. So, do you want to drop out or reduce your goal and stay in? **challenge admin toppageI want to stay on the team, but I am not too sure how we can count the injury penalty. I got hurt during my half mary on May 3rd. since that I did run on and off to see how the ITB would react. I didn't run but a 3k in the last 7 days before my Du and I don't plan to run much in the next week either. As for after the Triathlon, I will see what my doctor will tell me. Not too sure how you want/can count that though Edited by rlejeune 2009-05-18 12:37 PM
