Yesterday I felt like complete crap, so I bailed on my schedules long run. I’ve been having some substantial gut issues for about three weeks, including tons of tests and scans and bloodwork. I think we are narrowing it down to gallbladder problems, but man it has been a long road to get here.

I got in the long run this afternoon, after doing the originally scheduled 50’ ride this morning. Both felt pretty good.

Congrats Andrew!!!! Feel free to share pics of ultimate cuteness!

Mike, I second that on the Ravens game Tuesday. I almost went to sleep when they were up 34-20, but something told me not to (call it distrust maybe?). Man that was stressful!

I have been horrible lately. Work is crazy and I'm trying to take off next week so workouts have fallen to the wayside. Heading to my parents' in PA (currently quarantining and got a Covid test yesterday), and am hoping to get my butt back into gear while I'm up there.

I hope you all are well!
We are getting close to the new year. Are we going to switch forums soon?

Hi all! I’m still lurking/loitering. Holiday work and vaccine hauling has been crazy busy but I’ve had a few sporadic workouts here and there but I’m happy to say the hubby has really taken to the Peloton, so yay for him! When things calm down a bit I’ll get back on here more. Stay safe/healthy everyone!

52’ run today to close out this week. I’m at my folks’ house for the weekend. It was a nice change of pace to run in their country roads.

I haven’t heard anything about new forums. Mike?

Nice to hear from you.

I am still around too. Been running consistenly the last few weeks (25-30k / week) so of course my right knee started playing up and I had to calm down. I’ve only ran 2 x 5 k the last 2 weeks.
Bought myself a second hand smart trainer yesterday (Merry Christmas from me to me with all my love). Will try it today. Hours of fun ahead...

Off work for 2 weeks now, nice!

Wish you all a nice holiday season!

Thanks. Did the test ride on Zwift (going shopping pace) and immediately subscribed. This is going to be fun!

Nathalie, if I can remember my name on there I’ll let you know! It is fun! I’ve finally figured out how to pair my iPad to my speed and cadence sensors (parts just arrived in the mail back home - my current sensors aren’t blue tooth and won’t connect) so the next time I’m at work I’ll be able to use Zwift.

Hour ride on the trainer today in KY using the Peloton app and some Pilates. Today was a sing along 60 minute ride and let me tell you, trying to belt out Sweet Caroline while climbing a hill is TOUGH! Haha
Yesterday was a 5 mile power walk with my roomie and the day before that was a 30 minute trainer ride using the Peloton app.
Two more days of work and i get to head home for the holidays for four or five days. Can’t wait.

@Andrew:  congrats on the additional family!

@Nathalie:  great news on the trainer; hours of suffering fun on the bike.  I'm taking some time of off Zwift to focus on a training plan but I'm M. Harris out there.  Some of the worlds are really cool, especially Paris.

@Nicole:  SO glad we are done with night games!

@Gretchen:  sorry you've been feeling bleh - hope it goes away or you figure it out quickly

@Jenn:  YAY home for the holidays; and thanks for pushing the vaccines around for us

I had kind of a crappy week last week, didn't feel great so just made it a recovery week.  Got my flu shot today (first time ever) so hopefully no reaction.

Hope you all have a great week.

Thank you everyone for the congratulations. We're very happy, but all very tired. Now we're all home from the hospital I've been for a couple of short zwift rides, nothing much. but doing better than when child 1 arrived.

Picture of ultimate cuteness attached. only a couple of hours old at this point.

I've only had my smart trainer for a couple of months. But I love it. You will too. Welcome to a whole new world of training.

I'm Andrew Lee on zwift, if you want to stalk a very unimpressive account.

First race on Zwift today, fearless beginners, a quick 10k.It was fun, much more fun than the ramp test I tried to do the other day and gave up after 4 or 5 minutes. Pushed harder for the whole 17minutes today.

Almost new years! I've had a very relaxing week+ at my parents' house. It's been absolutely wonderful. Also pretty lazy. I did go on a great hike the other day and have gone on a few walks with my mom. Heading home tonight or tomorrow to enjoy a few quiet days, go on some hikes and try to get my butt into gear.

I found my motivation (hopefully). I'm doing a weight loss competition starting January 1st. I'm doing dry January, and I'm going to do a juice cleanse next weekend to jump start it. I think a big part of my lethargy is my covid weight gain, so I need to make some changes. Also am going to run 3 times this long weekend to get that jumpstarted as well.

I hope you all are well and have a fantastic new year!

Hi guys. Wishing you all a happy new year from NZ.

Family life with our new tadpole is going well. Shes doing great, Mr 3 is a bit confused about the whole situation but is loving being a big brother, and Mrs Bullfrog is being amazing. And continues to be more supportive of tri stuff than she should be. Im trying to ramp things up a little this week. Aiming to get a long bike/run in. If IMNZ is happening, the long workouts need to restart. But we are very very sleepy so we will see.

In the mean time may 2021 be a crap load better than 2020.

Good to hear, hope it works! I also need to lose a couple of pounds (4 or 5 would be nice) which have crept up on me in the last 2 years.
Tell me more about this juice cleanse, sounds like good way to jump start the year.

Hey all, is there a 2021 thread yet?
Happy New Year! May you crush your goals in 2021!!
As for me, I ringing out 2020 quarantined in my room awaiting the results of my COVID test I took today... lost my sense of taste/smell today, so weird.
Please stay healthy!
