I'm a little intimidated in Tri Talk

I like to learn from people there...and every now and then there is a beginner question I know the answer to! Well...or have an opinion on!

good point!

I stayed out of there for awhile... whenever things blow up I just ignore it! I do still learn things there so I enjoy it!

Ha!  No kidding!  Even at 20-40% off most of those bikes are still too pricey.

It should also be noted, that just yesterday, I was telling my mentor group how I wasn't going to be buying a new bike this year.  Let's see how long the willpower lasts on that one!

hehe good luck...hopefully Ive put my mind on to being good and getting one this year...I bought my roadie in 2004 and at that point I couldnt ride a bike and knew very little about bikes, cycling or anything....

In hindsight I would have got something different if I knew more...but... my tastes have evolved over the last 4 years so I think that I started in the right spot Although now it seriously looks like I might get a bike this year I have less idea what I want than ever!

Hi Nibbs!

At the airport getting ready to hop on my red-eye flight back home.

Went to dinner with some colleagues at a fantastic Italian restaurant. I am STUFFED!

I had a caprese salad w/ special imported buffala mozzarella and prosciutto ham and a bowl of gnocchi with a barolo wine sauce & bits of filet mignon. Mmmm.

Yummy Yummy in my Tummy. Hopefully a full belly will help me sleep.

Hey all, I am finally going to bed.  I fully intended to be asleep by nine pm, but it just didn't seem to happen.

I am sooo thankful that I don't have to wake up to my 4:45 am alarm in a few hours.

Good night Nibbleteers, Have a wonderful weekend.

I'm also having trouble getting motivated.  I'm still in pj's and sipping on some hot tea.  Seems way better than going out in the cold, cold rain/sleet.

Hi Nibbs,

I got C to run a mile or so with me today.  She managed to keep the pace even and finished well with no breaks...A first for her!

Hey there Nibbleteers

I got up before 9am...and made carrot pecan cake muffins for my roomates and Dave-the gal next door received some as well and is now requesting for Steve to share me.

I stole the last of Steve's eggs, but hot muffins delivered to his bedroom door with a knock made up for it-that, and the fact that I went and purchased more at the store a little later.

You know what...both you and Dave do very similar reseach-you are both working at the cellular level dealing with mitochondria and such.

Ooh, funny thing...I guess that Dave went through a personality change/has a new perspective on life.  He was fairly insistant that he was Dave in seattle, but now he is David.  He hadn't realized the switch until I asked what had caused the change.

Haha...I have a friend who did the same thing with the names.  We first met him as a "Mike", but he later transitioned to "Michael".  Not sure what prompted the change.

Cool that Dave does the mitochondria-type research.  Not my primary focus (that's cardiology research at the molecular level), but I find it really interesting.  I wish I knew more!!
