Good morning All!!

Its snowing here 4-7 inches, Spring break so its quiet, and I only have 3 days of work left before I head out to an awsome workshop.  Pit stop in Chicago Thurs...  What shall I do?

Eat.

That seems like a good answer to any "what shall I do" type question.

Or really, any question.

Yes but you left out the Drink and Be Merry!!

Good Morning Your Royal Hotness Yanti Doll, Treadmill Crusher, Taxi's Bane and Goddess of Melony Goodness.

I am always willing to drink and I am usually in a good mood.

Good morning Yanti, big hug!

BT is slow today!!  Who is going to entertain me?

wow, was I THAT bad?

No silly boy that was a hint!!!

what would you like to talk nothing about

I don't really know, hence the entertain me aspect of the quote.

well, It would be hard to match the entertainment of your weekend, I can't dance, Juggle or Joust.  My jest is OK but is better with ale.

Well we could always sword fight.

show me your swords and Ill show you mine. you can wear the corset, Ill wear the kilt.

Ooh You're On!!  You may have to lace me up though!

Fine, just keep the mirrors off the floor, IF you win you wont need them

I think my wife is a low level hoarder and it's starting to drive me nuts.  Not one of those out of control people you see on TV.  She doesn't freak out or anything but has an urge to save everything.  For example, she saves all her shopping bags you get when you, well, shop.

I don't know how to handle it.  She doesn't get rid of ANYTHING and it's piling up.

I'm thinking I just throw it out when she is gone?

She's just being frugal.  You have to fight fire with fire.  Just tell her that if she keeps it up you will have to buy a bigger house and then start looking at the real estate listings.  Be sure to tell her how much the interesting ones cost.

YEEEAAAHHHHH, no dice...

If I said we need to look for a bigger house, she would grab the keys and say "can we go look right now?  We have to make sure it has bigger closets"...

I share your pain.  My wife saves everything and has a serious hard time getting rid of stuff.  We have not less than 15 storage bins of kids clothes that are outgrown.  I recently took a plastic shopping bag of old shopping receipts down to our shredder.  Do you really need that 2006 receipt?

It spins my OCD on this through the roof.  I have talked with her about it but have seen little change, due in most part to her work schedule.  The little things like bags and such can get tossed.  Don't touch the overflowing closet of her stuff though.  BAD THINGS Happen!!

She has 30 THOUSAND emails that are still unread.  I say I'm going to delete them and she gets really hesitant.  I ask her if she really needs that notification of a sale at Macy's back in 2010 or that notification of a job she didn't want back in 2009.  She says of course not, but doesn't want to go through them but doesn't want me to delete them.

It's probably one of those things this IF I got rid of stuff, she wouldn't know.  OR, I could play dumb (not hard for me) and just say "I don't know where that is, hon.  It has to be around here somewhere" - NOT

Another example, she will burn a Christmas candle down to nearly nothing but save it away for next year.  But forget about them, buy a whole new slew of them, burn them down, then add them to the 10% left collection.

30,000 unread emails?! I have no words.

My rule, even at work, is to delete anything from 2 calendar years prior. If I didn't archive it for safekeeping I clearly don't need it. And they don't give us much storage space anyway, it's literally a necessity.

I know...

I go through emails a couple times a day and delete everything that's not needed.  I just tell her that if she is done reading it, delete it if it's not needed.  Better yet, unsubscribe as they come up if you don't want them.

She says she is just "too busy" to keep up that kind of stuff - but you sort of have to.

Once we lost about a 4 month section of emails for some reason.  It's still a mystery.  She basically freaked out.  But not ONCE did she ever say that she wished she had them back for some reason.  She thinks they are more important than they really are.

Right now, I just move entire years into a separate directory.  The other problem is, she only checks them on her phone now, so they never get removed from the home computer.

Yeah but you know, as soon as I throw it away, like 2 weeks later I will wish I had it.

I also think I get anxious when things are not picked up.  I'm not anal/ocd about it.  I will let it go a couple 3/4 days.  But she comes in, rips half her clothes out of the closet looking for something, rushes out the door, and leaves them on the floor.  The master bath is a disaster area of cosmetics.

1/3 of my house (and MY car that she drives now) and can't go in because the clutter makes me anxious.  I tell/ask/plead for her to organize, but she never has the time.

I'm a big consolidator as well.  She had 4 half gallon sized boxes of Epsom salts with 1" left in each of them.  I NEVER use the master bath anymore, but when I saw that, I had to combine them and still only came up with half a box - but look how much space that saved.

True - that DOES seem to happen more often than I would like.  I always ask myself if I can buy it again IF I need it, then I can toss it.  It would suck and be a waste of money to buy it again, but I would rather do that than keep everything in case I may need it.

Ok I am sick of this weather it can go... Last year I logged a 50km bike ride and got a sun burn at this time.

Today it is sleet, freezing rain high winds and I I had ice on my eyebrows from my short morning run.

I am SICK OF NO SUNSHINE
