NRG42 - 2010-08-03 12:16 PM Why does everyone insist on working today??  I need something to do.

Search the internet for things to add to your list.

I am guess that may send a red flag to the IT dept.  They frown upon pron here in the office.

And a topper with porn!

Artemis - 2010-08-03 10:19 AM I hang out on a knitting forum too and am in an arguement about wearing helmets.  People are trying to convince me it's not necessary and may cause more damage.  Apparently, there's no "proof" that helmets help in a crash.  It's silly.

What?  Are you kidding me?  Why do governments, governing bodies, etc. spend millions of dollars to test, develop, engineer and build helmets, and in many places require them to be worn?  What are they saying to say that they may cause more damage???

No idea.  It's completely ridiculous.  There's some study that shows that kids who wear helmets are 4 times more likely to get facial injuries or something.

While knitting, I am sure.

That has nothing to do with it.  It's not like we only talk about tris here.

The Brodie Helmet (Steel military helmet) actually increased the number of head injuries that the hospitals had to treat during WWI.

Really?  Why is that?  People lived through things they wouldn't have otherwise?

Exactly.  Couldn't it be the same thing with the bike helmets?

Definitely a possibility.  I've given up on that conversation.  I'm not going to stop wearing a helmet.  That's crazy.

There are few things more awkward than clipping your nails of your right hand with your left(if you are right handed).  My left has about zero dextarity...  About the same as using left handed scissors.

Bcart, that is awes....ful.  Awful.  Did you get a picture of the perp (the litterer)?

Alright, I am off for the night.  Hosting my 17 year old cousin and his Rubics Cubing friends for the night.  Also going out to dinner in a restaurant in the pitch black, where all of the servers are blind.  It is a great experience!  I love it.  Good food, too.

Have a good night, all!
