Great time at my race thus morning! I didn't officially make my goal time but my gps showed the course as long. Did some deep digging the last couple miles. Super happy with it. RR after I get my Saturday stuff done.

WooHoo, go TJ!!! That is good to hear, I'm glad you did well.

And the krispie treat? Was the "medal" as good as depicted?

I'll detail it more in my race report but true to its reputation the hot chocolate was mediocre. But the chocolate fondue was wonderful!

We have a cake roster at work, this week it's me! I'm making a chocolate and apple (gluten free) cake, we have a Coeliac sufferer at work so that's nice of me to include him

Woke up a bit down this morning, too much wine yesterday - at least I know now what affects my moods.

glad lots of manatees that have been MIA have checked in!  Hope all the racing ones had fun!

It's a Brrrrrrr 48 this morning so I'm not going out on the bike just yet, I need to do one hour 45mins today so I thought the bulk on the trainer then if it's warmer head to the park for some more practice.

I only gave myself 3 smileys today and that was a struggle hope by the end of the day to settle for 3 and a half!

Wink there's the extra half a smiley!  The one hour 45 mins on the drainer gave me that, I put on the radio and pedalled to who knows what but it was fast and furious or a hill climb a hard slow grind.  Loved it.  I find the first 45mins really tedious but then I don't mind....strange, a bit like running first 15mins I'm not happy then find my stride get in the zone...in the pool takes me about 500m before I get there.

Made a great gluten free chocolate cake and we have fresh raspberries and cream to go with it tomorrow at work.

Swim squad 5.15am - woohoo!

It's 8.30 now, think I'll be in bed by 9pm.  Sleeping very well actually!

I had a nice evening eating potato chips, candy that was my lunch and dinner!  And I got to watch the Rugby League final with no interruptions!  Go Melbourne Storm!

Ditto. I was thinking about you and your race yesterday, mostly dreaming of the hot cocoa. I bought two packages of hot chocolate yesterday, probably because of your race. Embarassed

Drive by post. Well, it wasnt he PR that I wanted, but even a PR by 58 seconds is better than no PR! What I am thrilled with is my performance on what was a tough race physically. More later in my RR. I will say you were all out there with me cheering me on, so thanks!!

Holy cr*p!  What a morning, up at 4.30 for a 5.15 swim squad - it's way more serious in the mornings and Johnny made me go up to that faster lane...would have been way nicer in the slow one!  Lots of sets of freestyle and i struggled to keep up but I did it.  Managed 2600m before i had to hop out to go home get showered and ready for work.  My shoulders and lats are aching, that's a good thing.  Add to that my quads from yesterday's drainer - i'm smashed!

I was going to run today at lunchtime, but I'm all out of puff!  So do that tomorrow.

Let me just tell you my gluten free chocolate cake served with raspberries and cream was a resounding success! Everyone loved it said it was like something out of a magazine!  wow i can bake (sans oven!)

4 x Smile Thanks Macca Power getting me through the day!

Found out that a friend of a friend is in Kona - he won his age group in Melbourne think he's about 25 - and when they called him up on stage in Melbourne he was in fact the fastest male outside of the professionals!  This boy is going places - watch out for Gregory Farrell.  He's in Kona now training and says he is so starstruck all day watching the pro's!

Gosh I'm rambling - I'm delirious Im so tired!

Go Racing Manatees!

September 29-30
TJ - Hot Chocolate 15k on Sunday
Kristen KIRSTEN- Surrey International World Music Marathon on Sunday

You will do us proud!

In my defense, we do have one of each and I put the race under the wrong person.  Please excuse me.
