It's called KT Tape.  It's an elastic Athletic tape.  I picked it up at a race expo last fall but never tried it.  Then the owner of the LRS, who knows how much trouble I've had with both knees, suggested it and showed me how to apply.

Yeah, I think looking cool is half the fun.  Although it was 19* yesterday so I had tights on and no one saw my fancy olympic looking knees.  But tonight am playing indoor soccer and will tape them up for all to admire.  Speaking of which.....mini rant warning.  Who schedules a soccer game after the Jet/Colts game???? So either I don't have any beer at the neighbors or I play tonight with a buzz.  Hmmmm.

Houstonrider - 2010-01-25 9:45 AM Happy Monday all. Just an observation.... I noticed that our post count dramatically drops when we are on our own time (weekend), as opposed to when we are in the office?????? Just food for thought. Or then again maybe we are all just busy training.

bzgl40 - 2010-01-25 11:43 AM Whooooo hooooooo.  Got the necessary approvals from my leadership to work full time from home in Tucson.  My partner cleared it to work on call intead of full time.  Now, um, anyone want to rent a house in Oregon City?  It's really green here.  Trees, grass, and flowers grow really well.  Tons of hills to bike, mountains to climb, trails to run.

kcarroll - 2010-01-23 2:31 PM I met my new running bff today!!!  Patello-femoral issues have been a real challenge for me, especially on longer runs.  I've had to walk home more than once after the knee went postal on me, usually after mile 5 or 6.  My orthopod has me doing knee PT to work on balancing quad/ham strength and flexibility, but that hasn't been enough.  I've tried the pat-straps and they're just ok.  Today I used kinesiology tape on both knees (recommended by my LRS) and ran a little over 7.5 and felt GREAT.  No knee pain AT ALL.  This is big.

jezzieswims - 2010-01-23 7:38 PM Went to urgent care today, one chest x-ray and a breathing treatment later I found out this cough is actually bronchitis. Time for antibiotics and a steroid inhaler. Thanks everyone for keeping me out of the water. I had to promise to really take it easy this time.
