My goal has been to come in under 14 1/2. My number 2741, 2 + 7 + 4 +1 = 14. Maybe I can come in at 14! Woohoo! That would be good for my first try.

I too will take what I get as long as I finish. First Ironman for me. Ready to get down there and race. I am excited and scared at the same time.

You must be a fast biker!  Couldn't imagine going faster on the bike then the run.

Race 'time' goals.... This is my first and YEAH, FINISH (without injury) first and foremost!  If I have a 'perfect' race...

Kind of a stretch goal is 11:15ish (would love to beat 11:21 - a friend's best time - we are super competitive with each other)  But, realistically I am shooting for a sub 12hr day!

looks like I'm bib 1392.  This is my second IM and my goal is sub 11 hours, but will be happy with anything under 12hrs.   Good luck everyone, I'm sure I'll see some of you next week.

Me too...and its not that I am an uber biker its that I am a crapatcular runner.  I went 13:59 here last year.  Would LOVE anything faster than that but I will take whatever the day gives me in the most gracious way possible

So who is planning on "pushing" the swim vs. hanging back.  I am not an uber swimmer by any means but the competitive side of me is tempted to seed myself slightly ahead of my usual pace.  In doing this maybe I would find someone good to pace off of and get "sucked" around the course.  I am not dumb enough to blow up on the swim and I would back down if I started feeling to bad.  The half of me that doesn't want to get punched and drowned is arguing fiercely with the side of me that wants to GO FAST! (relatively speakingSmile)

724 here. I would be thrilled to add these up as my time. First IM and will be happy hearing my name called as an IRONMAN. It is knda funny that my wife and friends have had to put up with Ironman talk  24/7 for a year. Good karma? I think so.

This is my first IM, so main goal is to finish.  But I would like to go under 13 hours (and under 12 if everything just goes perfectly)!

Hate to admit it, but the 1/2 of me that doesn't want to get punched and drowned wins. I am a tri-weenie when it comes to that.

Mine is #1427

I wonder why I didn't get a low number too since I'm a Community Fund/Janus Charity Challenge participant also?  I like Harvey's #101 better.

Finish Goal somewhere in the 12 hour range

Bib# 76

1. Goal to finish!

2. To finish with a smile!

3. If the stars align a sub 12 would be ideal.  But would be happy with 1 & 2

Does anyone know if swim start is mass or age group? Guide says "age group" on schedule page but on "faq" on Iron Man Florida 2009 website, it says mass. I thought it was mass.
