Tony - A quick question about logging our stuff on the spreadsheets:  are we logging how many 5k runs we did or how many miles we did (same for bike and swims?)?

Congrats to everyone who raced this weekend.  I still have catching up to do on this thread, but sounds like another great weekend for the SWBKRUN MG!!

No, it is just a time.  Pick a day or time and do a good 5k and enter your time, same with the bike and swim.  Thought it would be a good excuse to do a race pace workout for some.

Ok, I'll prolly push out a bike or run today with a swim.  Just easy for me though so my times may not actually be worth of logging.  But I may post my first 5k of the Du yesterday.  Even though it was sandy trails I still got a 21ish time.

That is quite a look you have going on there John.  I take back my comment about accessorizing.  Let's count, 1. breathright strip, 2 & 3 the watches, 4. high fashion shirt, 5, tatoo on the hand, 6, killer smile!   I think you look great and I am proud to have you represent the SWBKRUN MG!

I'm sorry, it must be a play with the light. It doesn't look fat and wrinkly, it looks like there is a lighter strip going accros you nose!!!

dalessit - 2009-05-17 8:21 PM Sorry everyone been swamped all weekend, wife ran another 1/2 marathon (she did one last week also) and we were all supposed to head down to watch but my son came down with strep so she went to the race and I was Mr. Mom'ing it, not as much time on the computer as usual.

I created spreadsheets for each team.

Let me know if you have any problems.  Just put your time in and it will average it for the group.

Congrats to everyone that raced this weekend also!

Okay, I'm the dork without a Google account so when I follow your link it takes me to a page that is asking me to sign in with my Google Account.  Do I need to create one before  I can use the spreadsheet?

/sigh... Tracy, Tracy... See that username and pwd listed right under the URL?  Maybe use that?

Our Group rocks... I am so motivated every Monday reading about what everyone did....

My weekend...

Friday Night- Sister in-laws Birthday BBQ at her house- home at 11:00pm (about 4 Jack n' Cokes)

Saturday- Met Brother in-law at lumber store @ 8am... @ 9:30pm still on the deck slaving away.

Sunday- Up at 5:15am (sissy spent the night) and out the door by 5:45 for a 7:45 race.  Home @ 10:45 and back to work on the deck.  6:50pm still working on the deck and feeling like I had a semi on my back!!  8pm laying on the floor w/ the dog watching Survivor....

Today--- Searching for an office mate to make me more coffee....  I am WORN down...

The "race recap-"

I will start off with the funny.... We are standing in line at the outhouse... It is bathroom time.  Hour and 1/2 drive, drinking coffee... I gotta go-- apparently so did everyone else!  The line wasn't bad, but I did my "business" then it happens.... Reach for the TP.... NOTHING!!! NOTHING NOTHING!!! I think I actually said out loud "You gotta be kidding me!"   WTF am I going to do?  I can't just get out of the outhouse, and stand back in line?  I knew we were going back to the car (where I had towels), so I left the outhouse and I got out my sissy got out of hers, and I asked if she had TP!  Well no line, and her outhouse having TP... I WAS SAVED!!! That would have been awful!! But a funny way to start the morning, and I think that may have helped put my sissy at ease with her and my wife belly laughing at me!

The run-  It was a great course, and the 1st couple miles were like herding cattle.  Everyone was just going w/ the flow, and then the 1st hill came and she was cruising past people!  I was impressed, and I struggled with the fact of whether I pace by running a step ahead, or a step behind.  I thought I would try the step ahead thing, and it didn't work... I think I picked it up a tad (by nature), and I would look back and she wouldn't sit on my heels, so I decided to sit next to her, or a step behind (side by side is hard in a crowded race) and let her set the tone.    Everything went really smoothly, and at Mile 10 we were @ a 1:33... This means we had to do a 27 minute 5k to beat that 2hr mark (which was secretly my goal for her!).... I knew we had @ least one more good and (another that would slow the pace some but not much) I also knew we had a nice downhill finish, where we could make up about 30 seconds or so.... Well we hit the last hill @ mile 10-11 and she wasn't having any sort of PUSHING the pace!  It was just run the hill and survive the 1/2 marathon!  I was completely ok with this, but wanted to keep pushing her forward.  Stride it out, rest tomorrow, be mad at me later, but let's finish this B*TCH strong!  Here is our analogy of the race..... I was trainer Bob to start (Biggest Loser) then by the end I had turned into Jillian! !!!!

She finished strong, finished happy, and better yet finished!!! We came in at 2:04 and I think she finished 40th at of 90 in her Age Group!  I am proud of her!  What a great experience!

Sign me up for Team Shi if you'll take me.  I looked through the old posts and it looks like I'll need to swim a 400m (will have to convert yards to meters) and do a timed 12 Mile ride.  Sounds like fun.

Man that's a busy weekend Steve.  Very cool that you your sister got to race together!  The deck looks like a great place to hoist 3, 4 or even 17 Jack and Cokes.

You are making The Deuce proud with that pre-race story!

I would say that you have knocked out the 5k requirement!  So just what you mentioned is all that is left for you.  Personally I am looking for the correct bike course - downhill with a tailwind!

There is no BAD place for a few jack and cokes (in fact I think sucked down about 8 {5 Saturday, 3 Yesterday}) to build the deck so far!!!   What is hard to justify is that we have a great view in the back where we sit on a hill and look at a Lake, and Mt. Baker, so spending money in the front of the yard where we look at the street... Not a fine, but A HAPPY WIFE IS A HAPPY LIFE!!!  So I am building a deck out front!

That's the view out your back door?  I don't think I would ever go to work.  Simply stunning.

Nice job on the chaperoning yesterday.  I am sure it is a memory you both will share for a very long time.

Off for OWS #2.  Today is it a balmy 57F outside with 25-30mph NW wind gusts.  How fun!
