Amazing Race - There will be SPOILERS (Page 6)

I wonder if it didn't specify that you HAD to roll them...just "transport them up the hill" and everyone assumed that you wouldn't be able to carry them?  I mean, there aren't many guys that would have been able to do what they did....

My wife and I were asking the same thing Sunday night.  We both agreed that had the instructions stated "rolll the barrels," they would have been penalized.  Since they were not penalized, it couldn't have been specified.

I'm just not that into the teams this year.  I'm pulling for Bates and Anthony.  Max and Katy have won too much already.  

...but did the show give away who would be eliminated 1st next week in the preview?  I won't say it, but they sure did seem to provide enough info to put 2 and 2 together.

You always know when some does an Amazing Race brain fart.    There is always some goofy "boing" bell sound effect when they do something they are not supposed to

I don't think the clue said how they were to be transported like the cheese wheels that were to transported in the traditional way on a sled. 

I thought this too until my photographic memory wife made the connection that it wasn't specified.

The son of the father and son team is/was a pro cyclist. 

Anthony plays for a minor league team so not ballin' on any level really.  Bates played for the NHL but wasn't a big time player like a Gretzky.  Lots of minor league call ups to the parent team on his resume.   He owns a bar now.

It's not like Lebron James is on here so I'm not sure I agree with the "you've already had your 15 minutes" argument.  Bates and Anthony seem nice and not all athletes get big ballin' contracts.

You can disagree with me if you want. That's what's great about America....freedom of speech. That's just my opinion. Without looking up the minor league contract, I'd be willing to be that Anthony made more than a firefighter or teacher. 

in this case I guess we could call them big Puckin' contracts.     ...and money or no money, the hockey players really do seem like nice guys.

"Katie seems nice enough?"  Hot, yes.  Nice?  Unless the editing of the show was misleading, I don't agree with the adjective, "nice."

So we all need equal pay?

Ummm, to be honest you are the one keeping this one going by incorrectly bringing up the 1st amendment to the US constitution. 

Spoilers about things that have already happened are okay (expected) around here, but spoilers found about future episodes are not.  Please don't do that again.   I can't unsee/unread that.

P.S.  And the comment to JTiger (the "fragile little ego") is also I think bordering on the kind of name calling that is not cool.  I don't make the rules, I am just giving you the heads up.

Only hobos on The Amazing Race from now on.  Everyone else makes to much money anyway and everyone else needs a "fair" shake.  Bankers, Doctors, Lawyers, etc are out because they don't need the money.  See where this is going?

Better yet... Hobos vs Police officers vs. teachers vs. firefighters

I think on TV it's final four now you forgot the country singers.  I'm not sure your website is right but let's keep those things out of this thread because it kind of does ruin everything if true.

Yes, there are 4 teams left, heading into the 2hr season finale this Sunday. At the end of the first hour, one of the teams will be eliminated. The second hour will be the final 3 teams.

I found this definition of "spoiler."

" When someone reveals a previously unknown aspect of something which you likely would have rather learned on your own."  It does say in the title of this thread that "There will be SPOILERS."  So that's why I posted the spoiler.......to get the discussion back on the race and off the personal stuff.

The spoiler site/message board was interesting to look at after my wife & I found out that Beth was going to be on the show, back in January. Yes, we found out when CBS announced the cast and not before. The teams sign a $10 million breach of contract/confidentiality agreement. They couldn't/cant talk about anything  until after CBS announced/aired it.  Anyways back to my point about the spoiler site. It was interesting to see how things unfolded as they happened....although I didn't read about it until almost 3 months after the race was finished. Seeing people post pictures from airports and figuring out who the teams were was pretty cool. The website has different threads so you can find out the teams, places they went, and timeline of events/eliminations.  If anybody wants to know what the website is, feel free to PM me.................

I TOTALLY agree with you on the definition of spoiler.   My point was just that around here, in this kind of thread, when we say spoiler we mean "if you didn't watch this, don't read the thread, because there will be spoilers."  That's all.    We tend to avoid sharing spoilers that go beyond what's been broadcast.  The problem is that once it's out there in the thread, it's hard to not see if you're interested in talking about what's already happened.  That's all.

 I think the next thread should clarify what "spoiler" means around here. Had it been clear to me, I would not have blabbed about the final three

Not to keep picking... but that is common sense.... well until someone comes along and does not know that and actually spoils it not knowing what they are doing.

There are "spoiler" sites for all shows. They tape 6 months before airing, and who ever does it... production crew, participants, who ever.... puts it up on the web. Real soon, we can get info on who wins the next season. The next season of Survivor is already in the can. But you have to go out of your way to search for those sites.

People know they can find that inbfo out on the web. When a thread title is talking about the current season show being broadcast... spoiler means if you have DVR'ed the show and have not seen it, then don't come in here because we are going to tell you how it went. "Spoiler" for a movie thread is telling you straight up they are going to tell you how it ended.

But going to an actual "spoiler site" and then telling everyone how the season/show ends.... that's a big no-no.

I had a friend that was on America's Got Talent, but I only found out seeing him on it. Well it was killing me to see how he did, but I told him not to tell me anything. So ya, I can see how it would be if you knew people doing stuff real time. He made it a couple of rounds, but not onto the show. It was all old news to him... it was 6 months ago.

Right. I say common sense, only because of the 2 plus years I have been here, nobody has done that on a thread about a TV show. And most know there are sites out there that have the results. But ya, no offense, and nothing was done to intentionally "spoil" it. It just happened.... and I looked away real quick so I didn't see it.

True story... I absolutely love football... and one of the best things about it is that any play, absolutely anything can happen. So I try real hard to avoid everyone when I record a game... but if I see a score scroll across the bottom of the screen... I'm done. No point even watching it. I'll catch the highlights on ESPN.

Oh... and when the show is OVER, you will have to let us know how the moms are doing.

I've got the dvr set at home & here at the firehouse too. I'm hoping to watch the finale tonight. But, you never know how the night is gonna go around here.....even on a Sunday. It might take me until midnight to get through the whole 2hrs. On the bright side, I'll be able to fast forward through the commercials.
