Member 39 San Antonio, TX | Subject: RE: Ghosts and Ghouls Team Thread HI there everyone - my name is Cori, and I am a complete newbie. I just had a baby (my 9th) seven weeks ago and my goal is to lose the last 36lbs gained over the last few years. I was challenged to do a triathlon, which is why I am here. I am currently walking my dogs daily and just upped that to 4 miles a day. So I put myself down for 70 miles initially, but believe I can do 90 miles. At the moment I am walking, but want to integrate jogging into the routine as soon as possible. Glad to meet the rest of my team mates!! Do we post our miles logged weekly? And how do we document the miles done, or is that a matter of us trusting that we are all doing our miles? |

Elite 2443 Athens, Georgia | Subject: RE: Ghosts and Ghouls Team Thread First of all welcome Cori. Very glad to have you her on BT and on our team. 9 children is very impressive. We log our training in of all things a "training log". You can access it her on BT and I am sure you will find it invaluable. If you look at the square boxes just click the one to the left of the "forums" box that is marked training log. It is pretty self explanatory from there. Good luck with your goals and don't hesitate to ask questions around here. You will find some very knowledgable and helpful people around here. |

Champion 7931 Sequim, Washington | Subject: RE: Ghosts and Ghouls Team Thread I don't like my Gastro Dr. He tells me to eat more fiber, eat more fiber...it doesn't help. A lot of the high fiber foods available have wheat in them-turns out that my gut doesn't like it. Really doesn't like it. Instead of prescribing drugs, why didn't he check for celiac disease? Oh, thats right, most drs are there to support the pharmaceutical industry. |

Member 39 San Antonio, TX | Subject: RE: Ghosts and Ghouls Team Thread Thanks everyone for your warm welcome! Let me add a short caveat to the whole 9 babies thing. I have five of my own children, and then decided to help childless couples complete their families so I have been a gestational carrier x3. I gave birth to LARGE twins in October 2005, a BIG singleton boy in April 2007 and a HUGE boy on August 13th. So I have given birth 8x, but I am only raising 5 of them (thank God - I don't know that I want to do the whole diaper thing and I am still awake and it's 3:00am what on earth is that on TV nights again!) OK, I logged my walking but I am doing something wrong when I try and save my strength training log. I clicked on save to template, and chose the exercises I did, and then clicked add to log, but I don't see anything there. Looking forward to getting rid of the final 36lbs, and to working towards my goal of doing my first ever tri next spring!

Elite 2443 Athens, Georgia | Subject: RE: Ghosts and Ghouls Team Thread I really hope you don't have Crohn's. My wife does and it is a horrible disease. They will have to do a endoscopy and colonoscopy to diagnose that. There are a ton of Gastro diseases and issues. Hopefully it is just something that you can control with diet. |

She I guess she enjoys being pregnant. I sometime babysit two of the kids that are not with her. They are raised by a gay couple-one girl from each dad. Before the surrogate kids they adopted a boy from China who was really malnourished. He is doing great now. |

I have a wall of windows on one side of by cubby. I usually have the shades down in the morning because the sun shines right on my computer. In the afternoons, the shades are open. I am also lucky in that my job requires me to leave the building to visit with the individuals on my caseload. Sometimes I get intentionally lost on the way back to the building and take a little longer in drive time than I should. My job is extremely flexible, so most of the time my supervisor has only a vague idea of were I am.runnerx - 2008-10-02 10:05 AM sesh - 2008-10-02 10:58 AM [ ... I've got 6-7 more hours of florescent lighting and beige walls. Wow, we must work in the same building. I have a window into the hallway as well. So I get to look at the pretty beige walls in there as well. I've got to get a picture of that. I never realized how "office space" funny it is that I have a window into a hallway looking directly at a wall with nothing on it. Yep... there's a classic example of gov't emp. Oh, that sounds like a GREAT way to get a workout in in the middle of the day.... or can you take a late lunch at say 4 and not go back to work.... |
