Do you ever take a break?

Did 2 ironman races last year, so might as well do 2 this year and make it even.  I am looking forward to joining in the fun!   :-)

I forsee some cold bike rides in my future.

I for one am ordering wetsuit booties for that swim!  Not only will the water be COOOOLD, but it's a long run out of the water over to transition, I saw a lot of people with numb feet trying to run across the paved ouchy road!

You warm weather folks from down south are so funny  

Neoprene hats and booties, those are the temps were all ready training in on some of the cooler mornings, thou it has been a cool summer.  I'm more worried about a late season heat wave when I come down that way in November.

How far to T1 and is the surface rocky or in rough shape or are you just worried about the cold thus the need for booties?

I am such a cold weather wimp!!  Booties both because of the run & the cold.  It's a decent little hike - through a parking lot, across the street and down the road about 50 feet or so.  Has anybody mapped it out before? 

Last year it was in the 30's in the morning for race start - brrrrrrr!  Water temps were mid to low 60's I think - anybody have the exact temp last year?

From the email on the course changes.  But looking at a map of the area it looks as though we may have to ride up I-40 then to I-140.  That's the only place I see MLK crossing.  Anyone know for certain?

Things have been quiet here for awhile.  Everyone should be getting into some tough training.  We only have 8 weeks, Yikes!

Did a HIM on Saturday and worked on pacing and have a good idea on how I want to attempt things in November.  Hope everyone is doing well and staying free of any injuries.
