Yes! Get a group and include me and coredump and LisaC and whoever else she's traveling with...? And Jah and dockshock!

Cool.

Last year they had info on how many cars and tents you could put on each campsite - couldn't find that this year though so it might be worth asking, to save some monies. We won't all need our own individual camp site...

I'll go ahead and inquire about this.

If you haven't done so already, and no one minds me organizing this, PM me with your name and I'll add you to the list of BT peeps for the campsite group (only if you've already purchased a campsite). We only have about a week to do this.

If Lisa's comments hold true and you were thinking about getting a campsite but don't have one yet let it be known if you want to hop in on someones campsite. I have a campsite I'm willing to share, just let me know.

If anyone is going to the training day next Saturday and would like to split a pricey Lawrence hotel room, let me know! A friend and I are going and don't mind sharing a room with new triathlon friends on Friday night .

I will probably do one lap of the run course....assuming my legs aren't completely dead...but I'm sure they will be...this will be my furthest ride to date.

I'll be there for the ride and probably 1 loop of the run. I'm sticking with the "slow" group too since there's no way I can go 19mph at this point and am no way "competitive" at a race this size, although I can usually average a little faster than 16mph.

I'll be there as well, black bike jersey and black DeSoto shorts, as well as a black and gray Trek road bike.

It's weird, I packed everything up tonight almost as if it were the night before a race. Can't wait to check out the course, can't wait for the season to start!

Hey!  I talked to you a couple of times.  I was wearing the blue shirt and was with the guy that wrecked at mile 20 (then witnessed the other wreck coming back from the first turnaround).  Hope you had a good ride.

Dude! I didn't see the first wreck, yikes!
But horray for kind of meeting you!
What a freaking fun day - I had a blast. Couldn't have asked for better weather.

I'm sure we passed each other somewhere along the route, but if anyone remembers a red/ gray P2 on the side of the road with a flat tire at about mile 30....that was me!!!!  Thought I was seeing a "leaf" in the middle of the road and it ended up being a river rock....instant flat....FYI..that was my first time changing a flat...so it cost me about 15 mins off of my overall time...it was good practice though.

It was a fantastic day (although a little windy) and I wasn't expecting as many hills, but that is what I train in, so it wasn't too bad.

Man it was a beautiful day! I did the race the very first year they had it and so i wanted to compare the courses.  I felt like the new bike course was much easier and faster than the first year.  Not near as many hills, but defentially loved it.  I didn't really like the run course layout.  It was soo....squished....I guess thats the word.  There will be a TON of people crammed in that small area, but it will be fun.  I do think the run course will be harder than the first year due to the one long hill and there not being much shade.  Anyway thats my thoughts.

Oh and I'm glad I got a camping spot.  Where is everyone going to park that doesn't get a camping spot? And get there SUPER early  if you aren't camping because there is going to be a huge line to get into the park because they are taking money at the gate and there is only one way in.

Sounds like you guys had a great weekend training!  Any suggestions for those of us that didn't make it out?
And is anyone interested in a BT get-together @ the camping site?  We tried and failed miserably last year @ Redman, this would be fun to try at this event.  I'm staying @ the Hampton, but I'd be up for hanging with the BT peeps.  I always find we have a lot in common when we meet in "real life"!
