If you had driven to a safe place to ride (far away from taxi drivers) you wouldn't have been hit. It's called Karma.

on the side... what are junk miles? It's the theory that some miles you bike or run are pointless, because they aren't for a specific purpose, or they the are done at too low of an intensity level to provide any fitness benefits. Threads about them tend to include a lot of disagreement. |

New user 6 | Subject: RE: Wasteful training.... I live in New Orleans, when I go on my runs/ bike ride/ walks I take my dog and my wife. This is getting back to the New Orleans part. Where I live is on Retirement Street, but it is between the corners of Gunshot Alley and Crack Dealer Way. I have never walked in my neighborhood, I don't run through it and unfortrunatly there is a loaded shotgun near me in the house at all times. We plan on moving within the year but until we do I will drive back and forth to the parks around the city to where we can be a little safer to run/walk/bike enjoy my regularly scheduled life. |
