I'M DONE! C'mon ladies...if I can do it, you can do it. At the beginning of this month, I couldn't even swim a straight 100m without resting!

GO CHICS!

Go guys! And for what it's worth, when someone drops out for more important concerns, I support letting them bow out... but think their remaining mileage should be redistributed to the rest of their team.

Sorry, I write regulations for the treasury department for a living. I eat nasty rulemaking for breakfast. Also, I want the guys to win for obvious reasons.

I will be doing the unthinkable (for me) and joining the early a.m. pool crowd tomorrow to finish up my last 1800 yds. I meant to get to the pool earlier this week and didn't, so I'm pulling a last minute cram session. My running time has definitely cut into my pool time this month, but barring injury, I'll come through.

Good job, Kristen! (We have the same name, btw, but I spell it properly, with two i's.)

I miscalculated and only needed 1700 to finish off. I did an extra 50 for extra credit, so I'm done. And it was reeeally hard to make myself go at 5:30 this morning, because I've got a full day planned (a bike ride after work, plus volleyball tonight), but I couldn't let down the Girl's team.

Lesson learned, though - I am not good at swimming in the morning without breakfast.

Yeah, Kristin!!!  Congratulations on finishing.

I usually can't eat too much before I swim as it tends to make me sick.  Yogurt seems to work pretty well for me.  Then I make sure to eat something after.

So neither of you eat much... I could do yogurt, I suppose. I don't eat before my early morning runs, but I was tres wobbly this morning when I got done swimming.

Bopper, I am lucky enough to get out and swim during my lunch hour - but it doesn't allow me to do longer sessions, which I need to start doing to make any positive impact on my times. I'm waiting patiently for OWS without wetsuit season to hit northern MN, but when winter comes again, I'm going to start doing this regularly, I think.

Fun challenge, everyone! Nice swimming, all of you.

Were you drinking anything during your swim?  Drinking some water or gatorade helps.  I've also taken gels right after finishing a swim so that I'm not so shaky.

Unfortunately I was not able to reach my goal, which was 60,000.
Instead I have a total of 56400 yards for the month. Sorry girls. I just couldn't get to the pool yesterday, which I was counting on to finish. I only have 94% done, so hopefully some other girls did a little extra. Great job with the swimming to everyone! It looks like everyone had a great month.
