Why shoot for a swim-up bar...I mean, who wants to exercise on their way to a drink. I want a bar that comes to me, on the couch, please.

Nah...Saling said he gave up wine, women & song for swim, bike & run. Kinda makes me distrust his judgment when it comes to wine.

That sucks 1sttime, the big C is a bastrart!  Hope you can push through and finish the challenge, nothing clears the head like a good workout, I hope the rest of the family is dealing alright.  Take care.

as for the pictures, all i have to say is... NOICE! that water is soooo blue! love swim up bars - had one in Jamaica for hubby's 40th b-day trip, and laps in that kinda pool can be hard work of a totally different kind! glad you made it home safely

I must say I have been toying with the idea of a Bar-B-Q bar around the pool.  If I built a deck off the right side/back of the house of the house it would be perfect.  I would put a second floor on it so that my view of the Strip would be unobstructed.  Just for Dee I would add a few bottles of red wine.

Personally, I just want you a pool. A 25 yard, single lane pool in my backyard (heated of course) -- that would be SO awesome.

I wish I had been doing this when I had the pool built,  I would have lobbied for a 25 yarder.  Must say that the wine cooler would be easier.

You have a pool? I don't. Yet. But I know you're going to build one for me.

You could always get one of those endless pool add-ons. It produces a current that you can swim into.

I don't know how expensive they are though.

about $6000.  My wife would NEVER go for that for sure.  Maybe in a year or two, but not now for sure.  Too many projects to do, Heck I have 8 cars and a motor home to maintain.....Geesh changing oil is a weekend project..LOL.

The closest I can come to the "current pools" front crawling over the lawn while my wife sprays me with the hose....
