I had a great swim this morning!  After warming up, we did 10x100, and finally, mine were all under 2:00, and most were about 1:56.  Heading back towards my times prior to shoulder injury!

Nice work Kirsten!

So, should we make some sort of a bet for the game tomorrow?

LOL!  I knew that would getcha.  I just don't think it's really going to be a game.  Just a smackdown for some poor Americans.  Oh, wait, now I still don't sound Canadian.  Y'know, ego and all.

Chris - Let's hear it for the Races Not Going as Planned Club!  I hope that your ankle is doing better today.  (Hey, Kevin saw something about some moutain bike trails going in Myakka.   Is that convenient to you?)

Janyne, I saw this the other day and am finally remembering to reply. The trails are going in on the north side of the Myakka Forest, connecting up to the North Loop Trail. I do some trail running on the South Loop Trail, which is about 4 miles from the house. The work is being done by SCORR, which is the Off Road Riders group in South Sarasota County. Both of our recent pub rides were fund raisers for SCORR. Many of the fellows I ride with on Saturdays are also part of SCORR. My mountian bike is in such horrid condition that I will not consider taking it outside of my neighborhood. Until I rebuild it. Which reminds me. I'll be sort of in your neck of the woods, actually Asheville, in early June for a 5 day long bike mechanic class. And my mountain bike will be with me, getting overhauled.

Speaking of bike overhauls, my parts are in and I staged the Fixie this morning. I found out a few things, parts I need, etc. I am working on this really slowly, as it is a learning experience as much as anything else.

Tell you what.  I will bet you not just a beer on the game, but a beer for each goal the winning team scores.  Not necessarily payable all at once.

OK, maybe one of those two predictions will come true.

Marc, are you going to camp?

http://linseycorbin.com/blog/view/camping-season

I think some pretty cool things are happening in Clermont.

No, I am going solo. It's warm An easy flight from Montreal (direct) The infrastructure is amazing. I have been there 3 times before so have my "spots" for S/B/R This is a "vacation" :-)

Well, if it is a vacation and you are prepared, then I guess I don't need to tell you to enjoy yourself. It's a bit out of the way, more in Orlando area, but are you doing Lucky's Lake? I have heard good things about it.

Not to jump in the middle of some good trash talk, but you do realize that the US has scored 9 and 6 in 2 of their last 3, right?

BTW Kirsten, great job on the swimming. I'm glad to see the shoulder is coming along, woohoo!!!!

Against Switzerland and Sweden!  Shots in Sweden game were something stoopid like 70-9.  That won't happen against Canada!

And thanks

Its vacation week, and we hit Bodega Bay and Sausalito yesterday (nice little day road trip). Today I am just hanging out doing as little as possible (I have been VERY active since my race--needed a rest day!)and catching up on computer stuff. In doing so, I also checked out the job ads on AZA--Apparently Zoo Atlanta has an opening for a herp keeper....the pay most likely wont be an improvement, but living there we can rent a bigger house for about $500 less a month than here! AND Atlanta is building a new reptile/amphibian facility, so it looks like it could be a good idea....so--whaddya think Manatees (oh yes, the zoo also will or already has actual manatees!!!)? should I DOOOEEEET?

I haven't heard from Ft. Worth yet, (I still have hope, but its getting harder.)and I figure I could handle having to choose between them....
