TheSchwamm - 2008-10-14 2:21 PM i think i cried enough today that my contacts fogged up. i think i'm going home soon... assuming i can find the bus.

Schwammalammakesmesad...  Cry

Is it injury stuff from the doctor?  I'm not aware of the whole deal...

Yeah, basically, he can't help me. Well, won't. But still. i should also not be surprised if my foot continues to hurt for another couple of years.... when we figure i injured it sometime in April 2007. No running, cut back on my already restricted walking (like, i walk to the bus stop...). i can bike if i push the pedals with my arch and not the ball of my foot. i can do open water swimming (no walls to push off of...). i can lift weights as long as i don't flex my foot and/or make it hurt.

First, why WON'T he help you?  Get a second opinion.

Second, that sucks.  I know a girl who was a dancer that had a 'mystery' injury in her foot.  Saw all kinds of specialists and they couldn't find anything wrong.  She had to give it up for a long time.

I'm praying it gets better.

Can you swim?  or do the elyptical trainer (sp?)

Aikidoman - 2008-10-14 4:29 PM I got some water from out dispenser.  It's room temp.  But I guess room temp water is better than not water at all...

I'm almost done with my 3rd liter for the day.

good on ya.  I <3 water.  At home, over ice, right from the fridge door.  Simple pleasures....

I have a great plastic cup that I have had for YEARS.  I use the same cup for everything.  It follows me around the house.  The wife asks why I use this stupid green plastic tumbler instead of the nice glasses we have.

FIRST, it won't break

SECOND, no need to keep refilling all the time cuz it holds a LOT

THIRD, it just feels right.

FOURTH, women are silly.....

That is all..

I drink out of one of the 1 liter Nalgene bottles.

Is it BPA-free?

This was my second opinion. Apparently the results of surgery are not as good as just letting my body heal it. It WILL heal. Someday.

Swimming can be okay as long as i don't push off of walls. Elliptical is horrifically boring, and apparently i'm supposed to stay off my feet....

You haven't heard all the hullaballoo about plastics containing this chemical called BPA which causes cancer or whatever? So Nalgene has started making their bottles out of plastic without this chemical, and baby bottles etc, are all newly-labelled 'safe'. Plus, the stainless steel bottles that are popping up everywhere are because of this.

I don't know if any of it is true - there's not enough data to confirm it 100%, I guess. But it's the new "this is going to kill you, so stop using it" thing. Whatev.

Yep, last week it was cell phones.  Mine have BPA, and I don't care.  A little BPA is good for you.  Helps stengthen your defenses by giving your body something to do!

Aikidoman - 2008-10-14 4:49 PM I have determined that I will choke to death.  Fact...

How did you determine that?

I have a weird issue that no one can figure out.  My esophogus stops working at random times.  COMPLETELY stops.  So I take a bite of food, and it won't go down, and it doesn't come out.  It sits there.  I have learned to stay VERY calm, not panic, and let it work itself out, which can take minutes.

It's only going to take one time that it stops and food blocks the airway...  Weirdest thing, it happens with certain foods too.  Like rice.  Whoever heard of chocking on grains of rice?  I can...

There are some very old racist jokes that go with that that I will not bring up.  Just sayin'.
