Sprint_DA - 2009-02-16 3:06 PM Wow, I was gone for 4 hours and a TAN that was so lively barely covered half a page?  Everyone asleep or something?

Beats me...

Well that sucks.

this whole day does.

I might leave early under the pretense of a site visit, hit the gym early, then dinner and bed early - forget this day ever happened.

I'm doing this self-help thing that makes you say to yourself that today is the best day it could be.  It's helped me to be a bit more optimistic.

Interesting.  Not untrue, I guess.  It IS the best it could be....  It just so happens, that totally sh!tty is the best it's going to get.  I could have settled pizz-poor or crappy, but it was down right sh!tty...

But my green tea is warm and tasty.  Plus I have an appology from the wife and started looking for replacement rings.  I found some cool ones for less than 80 bucks to replace the carbide knock-around one I had.

I rode my bike.  Then again, I haven't been around much today.

I did.  There was absolutely nothing wrong with tube, tire, rim, nothing.  I put it all back together and had full pressure in the tire in no time.  Weird.  I went out to watch the Pitt game last night with grease all over my sleeves and crusted in my fingernails.  I felt like a real cyclist.

Not bad at all.  But how did you get grease on your sleeves?  I understand hands and fingernails, but sleeves?

from wrestling the chain back into place.  and probably didn't help that i decided to take my messy hands and push up my sleeves halfway through the task.

Fair enough.  Did you have your chain moved down into the smallest gear in the back before you went to remove the wheel?  That makes it a lot easier to get back on.

Morning Artemis + Akustix.

Preach, why does your tire flat so often?

well my usual answer... my fat @$$.

I found a tiny shard of rock in a cut on my tire.  now that this tire has been used on my trainer, that crevice got more noticeable, and the shard was more visible for me to remove.

I also think though that the tube itself is squeezing through the crack and getting pinched or something... I dunno.  It's driving me crazy.  I bought a new puncture resistant tire for the road.  I thought that using the old one on the trainer would get me free of this problem.  no go...

Hopefully if you have the rock out and a new tube it will cease to be an issue.
