I am sad to say I probably will not hit my goal. My ankle is pretty swollen after my run from Sat. So I opted out of my run today. Tomorrow I will see how it is and get some aqua jogging in in replace of running if that is ok. Will see how things are on Thursday and will try to get a run in then. And see where it takes me. If it doesn't get better I will try to do the rest in aqua jogging but not sure I could handle the amount of min, I have in running in the water!

Better to play it safe and not risk further injury. Take it easy and good luck for a speedy recovery!

Morning bugs. I had a longer than normal bike ride this morning and then plan to commute home on the bike this afternoon.

My run tomorrow will put me over my goal so I am looking forward to that!

x2, There will be lots of challenges in your future. Water jogging is so good for hurt legs. Talk to Dee about your goal.

doctorbob18 - 2009-06-23 10:36 PM got my track workout in tonight.. man was it tough (but thats why I love them)! Getting up early for a long group ride tomorrow is seeming like a bigger challenge now. But if the weather is nice I don't think I should pass up the opportunity, I rarely get to train with others.. I'm kinda like a training hermit or something

Hermit toppage!

I have NEVER trained with others. I ran twice with the DH if that counts.

It looks like I'm behind on the spreadsheet, but I'll have a big jump on Saturday of 26.2.  It'll be a slow 26.2, but 26.2 nonetheless. I hope my legs aren't quite so heavy by then.

26.2 toppage!

You'll be light as air, I predict.

lkc01234 - 2009-06-24 6:37 AM I ALMOST feel bad, because I am SOOO wishing that it thunderstorms this afternoon and golf gets cancelled.  Cuz I need to get a workout in AND I need to go to the grocery store!  PLUS the heat index will be over 100 today - - summer sure came in like  a lion (I think that is supposed to be April...but...) Undecided

It seems like the heat just came out of nowhere and slammed a bunch of folks. Take care, it can put a hurt on you.

It was actually kinda speedy (for me) and the PT puppy was a very good dog the whole run.

x2  I've never trained with others either.  It would be nice to have an occasional partner...(he he he...I am referring to training!!)  A few people have said "I'm so impressed that you're doing this on your own" -- I always give BT credit!  But! I also rationalize - not like I'd do the race with anyone else...everyone would be at their own pace!  That doesn't really change for me in training...I don't want to feel bad cuz I'm too slow or too fast...

I *like* training alone; I can do what I want when I want, don't have to worry about anyone else's schedule or if they'll be on time, and I can go my pace. For me, group rides are about pushing to keep up; they are a bit stressful!

I did a morning ride on the tri bike to see how the FD adjustments are doing. The good news: no dropped chains! The bad news: I sometimes had trouble getting the chain to go onto the large ring and if I was on the large ring and using the two smallest cogs I had FD chain rub and couldn't trim out to stop it. I guess I need a slight adjustment out on the high limit.

well I forgot about an obligation I had this morning so I had to skip the group ride... my legs are pretty tired though so I don't think 75 miles would've been all that fun, especially if they went fast.

For the most part I really do like training alone, but like Lisa said, sometimes I think it would be fun to have a partner
