rrrunner - 2012-10-07 10:47 PM Go Tracy!

Well I've set my bike in transition and am waiting in the car for the sun to come up. It is 27 degrees right now. They've offered a no swim portion with no awards.
Sissies.

I hope one day to be offered a no bike portion!  Have fun out there, brrr.

Done! Didn't podium, I'm sad about that but 3rd beat me by 15 minutes and I'm pretty sure I didn't leave that much out there.
I did it in 3:39. I'm happy with that. Wayyyyy better than Moab for sure. It took me 10 miles into the bike to warm up. Went with the sleeves. I think it was a good choice.
Then it took me a mile into the run to feel my feet!
That's the Manatee synopsis. RR later. You all were out the with me.

I won my AG and got 8th overall women. https://www.runraceresults.com/secure/raceresults.cfm?id=RCAG2012follow the link and change the results to half marathon. Seeing my name there makes me pretty proud. Yesterday was tough. Today I'm happy to be happy. If that makes any sense.

Well done racing MANATEES - rock solid performances all round.

Me - slacked off all weekend due to nice hair!  Worse than being injured   Not doing squad tonight, don't want the first hair soaking to be in chlorine!  I'll probably run tonight if I feel up to it!  Then tomorrow trainer ride.  Wednesday, ride and run, Thursday ride and swim - BACK TO IT!  You're doing an IM for heavens' sake get with the program.

ps - if anyone sees my mojo, send it to me.

rrrunner - 2012-10-07 9:28 PM Here's the RR

Great job TJ, the coffee in T1 would have been very tempting on such a cold day.  What was the water temp?  I couldn't wait to get in the water in Branson because it was 20+ degrees warmer than the air temperature.

Big congrats to Salty for a bangin' run time and to TJ for putting out a very strong effort despite the cold!!  Yeah!

I, obviously, lived to tell the tale and boy, are there a lot of tales from the weekend and the race!  The race report will be a long one, and I'm not sure where to tell the additional stories.  Here, I guess, when I get time.  Getting caught up with work, so my recap will have to wait.  And yes, I did think of all y'all manatees at one point or another (seriously), especially TJ knowing that she was also racing in the cold. So thanks, manatees, for helping me through the race and being there with me in spirit.  You are a super bunch of people!

Alright, here is my RR

Also, have to add in light of one of the threads in TT, this was a little info-graphic fact in my reults

"Opposite Sex: For the record, you were ahead of about 96% of men runners."

I was thinking of you and TJ all weekend. The tables had turned as Seattle/Portland is experiencing an extremely HOT fall. It got over 80 on Sunday!!!

And while it has been incredible,  historically it means that we will have a brutal winter in terms of snowfall.  But I like the snow

I got out for my first run since my half today.  Just 3km, but I am obviously not totally recovered from my cold--my HR was really high for an easy run.  Felt good to be out there though.
