Definitely didn't have the time or money to own it for quite a while. Still don't, but maybe someday soon. |

Two of the Geezerettes drive VWs, a Beetle and a Jetta. Both were purchased as their first cars and are 13 and 11 years old respectively. I would say that both have been good cars. Both had a problem with the radio discharging the battery if not driven regularly when the girls were in college. They both had problems with the electric window lifts. Both had problems with the sunroof drains plugging and getting water in the car. Average or a little better on maintenance, really. One huge difference has been the quality of VW service in California versus Tennessee. Tennesse or at least the Knoxville dealer is way better. Both cars have spent signficant time in California and I haven't found a good, honest mechanic yet. TW |
