Not the most flattering, but a great action shot--seventh woman out of the water at this tri (that includes the pros and the two age groupers who beat them!!!) Yeeeehah!

I don't think I ever met a real life White Sox fan.  Is it like NY where it depends on where you grow up or who you parents liked and that is your team or is there some other chicago status of why you like one over the other.

Besides all the Cubbie bandwagon participants that is

Absolutely.

Cubs.  Setting new standards in losing since 1908.

You are kidding right?!?!  Ok, we have to stop hijacking this thread.

I was about to go ballistic when I read this, as I am taking this to mean you think I am one of those bandwagon jumpers???  If it was not a dig towards me, then I apologize, but for the record:

Well Bill, let me inform you my fellow BT friend, I have been a DIE HARD Cubs fan since the age of about 10, being 34 years old, that would be 24 years of losing, hearbreak, tears, frustration, elation, joy, sadness, happiness, and whatever other adjective I could use to describe my love for the Cubs.  There are only a couple things I am passionate about enough that some people might say I'm a little on the obsessive end of it, and one of those for sure is my love for the Cubs.

How does one become a sox fan over a cubs fan has been widely debated by many here in Chicago, and I do think it does have a little to do with, like in NY, where you grew up and who your parents liked.  I grew up in the Northwest Suburbs where there were more Cubs fans than Sox, but my best friend grew up a huge Sox fan.  My dad would take us to Wrigley once or twice during the summer, and that's where I fell in love for the first time.  Little did I know, that they would continue to break my heart, year after year.

Am I a bandwagon jumper?  Considering I can still name the entire lineup for the 1984 Cubs and I just received my birthday present in the mail...an authentic 1984 Jody Davis road jersey, I think that shows you just how much I love my team.

Isn't this thread suppsed to be about the hot chicks of BT?? So sorry for my rant...it's been a tough 24 years!!

Darlin, it wasn't towards you.  See the little winkie after.  He was kidding.

Now, how long till those Flubbies choke again.    Only 5 games up.  Don't know if they can maintain it.

Now. MORE PICTURES PLEASE.  And I promise, no more baseball.

I'll post this one from my race this past Sunday.  Okay - it's not a good picture at all - it's kinda crappy actually, but I am proud of it for several reasons...

1.  I am NOT the last swimmer in my wave out of the water. (see the other yellow caps.)
2.  I actually passed some swimmers in the previous wave.  (You can see a pink cap.)
3.  This swim was the best OWS I have ever had...I think I  kicked my OWS demons in the a$$, and I don't have the "Holy cow thank goodness it's over, and I didn't drown!" look I usually always have...as I exited calm and ready to get on the bike.
