OK I don't smoke it ... just sayin'

And even if I did a heathen like me doesn't need god's permission to do it. In fact if the non-heathens out there are irked by the smokeage, I'd probably smoke more, just out of spite. Alas, they don't seem to care, so I'll continue to refrain. *sigh*

mr2tony - 2008-09-22 10:18 AM Hey Preach is it a sin to smoke the gonj? It IS a plant, after all.
Genesis 1:12 - I give you all the seed bearing plants to use. Nope....not a sin*.....go for it. Not ordained or even affiliated with any church and only know the bible passage because it was used on a 'Cypress Hill' song called 'Leagalize it'.

So... here is where the discussion would begin, once it was legalized. Is the use of of gonja a use that brings glory to God?

-B

"Genesis 1:12 - I give you all the seed bearing plants to use...."

Yep, God is so smart, but He leaves open statements and has us stupid humans try to interpret HIS meaning.

To use ... WTF?  So, He states the above, but, DON'T TOUCH THAT FLIPPIN' APPLE?

Pffffffffffftttt..  Hubby has been on a 'hunting trip' for two months..  I can enjoy pleasure in my own bed

(And for those of you that have or will be staying at my house kraut is refering to the upstairs spare bedroom not the downstairs guest bedroom)

Because it's easier to hear you, right?

Man, just when the religious discussion was about to get juicy...

speaking of, how was your young adult retreat?

Twas fun! We had nice weather, it was in the Shenandoah, so a bunch of us went hiking on Saturday afternoon (and some other folks went wine-tasting). There was an option to camp (which was cheaper), so we camped out on the grounds instead of staying in the dorm-thingies. Food was good, talks were good, I had a good discussion group. Dance party was super-fun, as always. And I do not want to be back at work.

And yes, I know it sounds lame, but if it makes it better, our dance party is ALL hip-hop, and club-type stuff. And not necessarily the cleaned-up versions either...most of us don't care on an individual level, but since it IS a church retreat, we are just sort of careful with the songs that drop f-bombs left and right. Everything else we play as is.

I like downstairs personally.

Oh and I just typed, erased and retyped and re-erased another response that would've gotten TAN 47 pulled. :P

Lunch was delicious. Grilled chicken salad with lots of tomatoes, mushrooms, peppers, and cucumbers. Yum.

Knee is stretching out a little, might have to take it easy tonight. Maybe just cut the grass instead of going for a run.

Took a few pics from my hike Saturday morning. Have a look-see if you feel the urge.

Good morning Aikido.

For lunch, I'm considering a trip to a Pizza Hut for the lunch buffet.  That sounds really, really good right now.

OH, did I mention:

Cowboys drop Packers for first win at Lambeau

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -The Green Bay Packers had a plan to stop Terrell Owens - and did it ever work.

Unfortunately for them, just about everyone else on the Dallas Cowboys ' offense had a big night in a 27-16 victory at Lambeau Field on Sunday. Even unheralded backup receiver Miles Austin got into the act with a pair of big catches.
