ex_rower - 2008-10-14 4:29 PM I had an awesome long ride today (70mi) and I even got to get up close and personal with the asphalt for a bit.

Holy moe! That's a helluva long ride. Congrats and I'm glad you're okay.

This is my first official post from my new office. I should have known they were gonna play musical offices at work today!

The good news is, I have a nice big spacious office (unheard of for a part timer, big enough to have my doggie in) and I have been moved next to the Vice Presidents.

The bad news is, I have been moved next to the Vice Presidents. How am I supposed to keep up my party on BT when they are hovering!

mellon presses.  That's the answer for many of life's dilemas.

Nice ride!

I just don't get it.  I may have to give this sport up.  20 mph during a training ride?  For effing goodness sake.  I can't do more than 15-16 around here.

I hate this sport...

congrats on the new office.  If they bother you too much you could always pull a fight club and work from home.

I went with 3 other of my friends who are all like me and too headstrong to ride in the back of the pack or slow down for a bit.

Don't forget 'Kido, there are elevation gradients were you live.  Plus you're training for distance at this point.

Yup.  Perhaps I can find a nice picture of a decapitated turkey, you know, for the holidays.

I know, plus I ride solo and don't get the pleasure of a pace line...

But still, I'm slow and would like to be fast!

I guess it comes out in the wash during races, when I sniffing FOP...  It's tough for everyone.  I hope to podium at Silverman, but my first objective is to survive it.  So far, all my pacing would put me second in last years event for clydes...

Just finishing Silverman is an accomplishment!  Heck just finishing the training is huge!  If it makes you feel any better, you can always look at my paces

Finishing, that's the key....  My paces look good when done by themselves.  It will be interesting to see what happens when I do them back to back.

Ha!  We can both be slow!  It's just hard to hear tales of blinding speed and road rockets when I work so hard but still plod along...

Doesn't it though?  Well I'm off to some project meeting thingy.  Hopefully, some of the TAN 'Ladies of the Night' will be here soon to keep you company 'Kido.

World Champion TAN: has lots of pages.

The past few days have been ridiculously beautiful in PA, like, scary nice. Today I road around the town bunches, did my shopping via bike, and turned in some job applications...and had a bit of a chuckle at all the people sitting on Route 28 looking stressed and bothered. Granted, I was getting crickets up my shorts, but whatever, I'll put that in the win column.

AIE! And as of tomorrow...it is one month until Pat and I are MARRIED. Wow. It still hasn't really sunk in that it is REALLY happening, like we've been engaged for 18+ months now, and up until now, everything has been pretty hypothetical. All those hypotheses are now coming to fruition (I hope!).

You can have part of my Ab workout tonight then.  I swear the abs are getting better, just need to have the discipline to burn off the fat over them.
