Subject: RE: TAN #177: Crazier than the Calgary STANpede ...I have a question that I think I know the answer to, but just want to make sure. As you know, most phones and Ipads and Ipods can be charged at the computer AND the outlet if you have the plug to usb adaptor. The question is, and my assumption, any adaptor can be used. For example, I pluged my Ipad cord into my HTC EVO plug to USB adaptor? I ask becuase 5-6 years ago, I bought an apple adaptor so I could charge my Ipod if I wasn't around a computer. But is SEEMS that I was frying my Ipods when I used is. I had a couple that lasted years charging on the computer, then fried after using the wall adaptor a month. I think it's ok, because now I charge my Garmin, Ipad, HTC, Fitbit, and any other USB device from my Ipad wall adaptor, and everything is still working ok. I would just hate to burn out my new Ipad using my HTC adaptor. I figured they make it idiot proof and usb is usb and various charges wouldn't allow you to swap out cables if they adaptor spit out different voltages. Sorry, long winded. |
