bcraht - 2012-12-06 9:10 AM Just a fly-by post, I am trying to get all my marking done before the students start their finals tomorrow.  I got my 30+ in this morning at Masters--including a 1:44 100!!!  And the coach was timing, not meLaughing.  I asked her if she was sure she started the button at the right time!

How did I miss this - well done!

Yanti support crew for IMWA - Timing confirmation

Please confirm that this is correct

Time zone - AWST (UTC+8

So Sunday at 7 am in Busselton is 3 pm east coast time.

It looks like this tool may help with tracking in terms of time zones (select Perth from the top)

So I guess this means that I need to be on ready to ride with Yanti early on Saturday night!  Maybe start looking for her at 7 pm or so.  We'll be riding our red steeds together!

So Sunday at 7 am in Busselton is 6 pm New York time.

I love you all. With a Manatee-heart-humping kind of love.

Here's the schedule so far. I cannot express enough thanks for having been there for me all along, (yes the cards are coming with me to Oz why do you even have to ask?!) and coming with me on this momentous journey too.

90-100kmJanyne
100-110kmTJrrunner
110-120kmMelaniemelbo
120-130kmKirstenbcraht
130-140kmDubSix
140-150kmSalty
150-160kmKate Gore
160-170km
170-180kmJo Baxas

Yes, Jo gets two segments because she asked and because like me she is a total IM ho.

0-5kmJo Baxas
5-10kmAnn-Marie
10-15km
15-20kmJogo
20-25kmFeliciaKansasMom
25-30kmSir Curseylonoscurse
30-35kmMark LokenBuckshot
35-40kmTangerinesblueyedbSALTY
40-finishKate-O-MelonstrinnasSALTY

Looks to me like Jo is "virtually" in the changing tent with you too Embarassed

Of course she is! Smile Isn't that part of the IM ho thing? As a non-IM ho, I am of course just taking a guess here.

As an officially recognised IM Ho I will be in the changing tent bike to run taking care if any chafing I will bring baby powder we always feel better with that stuff! Who is on wetsuit stripping duty though????

Hmmm I feel like I'd be pretty well suited for that ...

You are in.

I know I'll be sorry because I haven't figured out the time difference yet but please give me 10-15km too.  I will do a full 10k with you!!  Watch it will be like 2am or something here and -30 degrees but I have a new headlamp and I am not afraid to run in a bit of cold weather.  I'll be right there with you through both of those segments, if you will have me!!

HI MANATEES!

I am accepting applications to be my virtual partner on a segment of the bike or run course.

This means one or both of two things:

1. You are responsible for supporting me alongside in spirit (can be done ahead of time. Spirit isn't limited by time) as I am racing that segment.

2. I will be thinking of you and praying for you during that time, and likely chatting with you and God at the same time in my mind. My other voices may join in too. It's always a party in there.

Bike is divided into 10km slots (18) and run into 5km slots (8). Feel free to state a preference or let me slot you in as needed

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Sign me up!  Wherever you think you'd need me the most (if you need me at all).

Oh you're needed make no mistake

Righty-O. Badger Jen is zero-10 on the bike (that just sounded awesome and right). SCHPANKS!

Yeah. We have some serious piggybackin' 3-way-4-way action happenin' right there.

Started CrossFit tonight.  That was interesting.  Lots of technique work and then a 20 minute workout but I am counting an additional 10 minutes toward the challenge for all the technique work.

In true manatee style, I had an embarrassing moment.  Embarassed  Doing my 1st assisted pull-up, by myself of course while all was silent and all were watching, I let one rip.  The trainer moved me from the pull up bar to the rings.  Coincidence that she moved me?  I think not.  Pewwwwww!

It's the very reason I won't go to a yoga class too quiet thus is bound to happen

Women after my own fart.

I once woke myself up in a class by farting. I wasn't the only one I woke up. Good thing I wasn't the teacher

Monday & Tuesday, I'm counting playing outside with my daughter as my 30 minutes.

Yesterday, I had a really bad migraine, so I did not do anything.

Going to try to run today.  Or at least walk on the treadmill depending on how my head is.

Good news, got my Jogo on with my usual am bike ride and will be doing a 10-miler in a little bit.

Bad news, me vs train tracks on the bike:

and yes, those are arm warmers on my scrawny azz legs. Don't hate.

*Additional good news, I hardly even remember that my ITB ached a little. I have a new focus.

Glad to see I'm not the only klutz on this board. Also, I would never hate on the arm warmers on legs bit, in fact, I think I'll give it a try myself! Right now, I use the smallest knee warmers I can find and they act as full tights on me. I could use something with less coverage.

Yeah I'm still trying to determine that but I think it's all just flesh wounds. Hip, hand, knee, ankle. But structurally I think I'm a'ight.

Bent handlebars on bike from what I can see. Maybe other stuff but I haven't given it a good look yet.

Glad I wear lots of layers these days or I would have a lot more road rash.

Yeah actually J suggested it. I only own one pair of full tights and I mentioned how cold my shins get on the ride in sometimes. I think she said something along the lines of, "Why don't you just put your arm warmers on. They should fit your chicken legs"

Totally works great though!

In my defense I was avoiding a pedestrian who was walking in the middle of the road. I know how dangerous train tracks are and went into them with way too much speed while turning out of the way. I should have known better. Grrr.

Ohhh yes Monty Python!!! I love the MP references they had in the Olympic closing ceremonies.

Actually the way I "discovered" Monty Python is quite odd. I was in math class on my first day of high school and this kid behind me whispers, "pssssssssst" so I turn around and he hands me this DVD and says, "Watch this. It will change your life. Thank me later."

So I did. Super random.

That was random. When I was a young prosecutor, I got my boss to play Holy Grail in our break room. Couldn't believe the number of people who had never seen it before.

I stayed home today because I had to take one of my migraine pills.  That means the migraine is gone but I can't work because the pills make me dizzy (a bad trait on any job, but especially mine). So I've been baking and making candy and I created a super-yummy chocolate covered coffee toffee. mmmmmmmm. I got the idea from a chocolatier we visited this summer but the recipe is mine.

OH, and I am a great-aunt again! My sister's daughter gave birth to a 5lb 14oz baby boy this morning.  He's my sister's third grandson.

I'll try to fix it once I have access to my laptop or one of you computer smart people may help ...Ooh, never mind, I fixed it! Yeah me.

I'm the only American in my lab.  Most people haven't seen it.  Heck, most of them haven't seen the Star Wars or Indiana Jones movies.  Makes for strange cultural references.

Hooray!  New sports bras today!!  Now I have more than 2 good ones and can get rid of all the old crappy ones that don't actually support anything.  Also, this shirt was free (although I got a green one). I find it hilarious.
