tahrens - 2009-04-01 1:51 PM sure did.  Diamond rings, wetsuits, family registration for races, what's a few $100 here or there.

Cool we'll have to meet up for that.

Good grief, I was busy all morning and find out I am pages behind at lunch!

Tracy-did you have the ring ensured for replacement value (I hope!)?  While I only wear my ring when we go out, I would miss it if I didn't have one.

Barry-I smiled from ear to ear about the wetsuit.  I put mine on backwards last year after having worn it quite a few times.  I still don't get why they put the zipper in the back.  I am forced to ask someone to zip me up at every race.  This is going to sound crazy, but I use rubber gloves to put mine on.  I they they are really hard to put on and am afraid all that pulling and tugging with nails will rip it.  I also wear socks or plastic bags on my feet.

Ok, I am laying down on the couch now for my session.  First, thanks to all that responsed to my coaching issue.  I think Tony started it by asking the question if I felt like I was progressing with him.   The answer was yes, and then I really started to think about it.  Am I better than last year? Yes.  Am I that much better given the fact I spent 118 hours in the pool last year and 36 so far this year? The answer is probably no.  I have relied on the crutch of my past experience with H20 as a kid and then as an adult saying things like "look how far I have come give I almost drown and couldn't even put my head under water in 2006?" That is three frickin' years ago. Either mentally I have an issue or after working with my coach on and off for two years (I looked it up), something is not working in that relationship or both.  I am solving the first concern by seeing a sports shrink next week.   I am going to talk to my swimming coach and see if he has a concrete plan and committment primarily because I don't think I can get the $600 back from him.  If not, he his history.

Suzy ... Sports shrink?  I have no idea how you actually are in the water, but just from looking at your logs over the last few, YOU CAN DO IT.   You have one of the best training work ethics in the group.  Obviously you have come a long way since 06, seems like spending more and more time in the water will make you that much more comfortable.  Your stroke and technique HAS to be pretty darned good if you have been working with your coach for a year or so.  I will send you the bill

Ha-ha! You would think I would be Michelle PHellps for all of the hours!  If I spent that much time biking I would be a rock star.

The sports shrink works with the UW Athletes on Positive Mental Attitude heading into their sport.  She is basically helping them squash that little voice that says "YOU SUCK" , "YOU DON"T BELONG HERE".  I used to have that problem with running and overcame it reading "Running Within" which is a lot of mental visualization.  For whatever reason, I cannot do that with swimming.  Maybe someone tried to drown me in a prior life!

The check is in the mail!

LOL, my wife has been giving me a hard time saying she was going to send me to a sports psychologist.  I have a lot of mental issues about my swim as well.  I can swim much faster now but still just dread having to swim and not  honestly sure I can swim 2000M straight which I should be able to.

On to better stuff, just ordered the last part of my tri-bike build. Front wheel should be here tomorrow and wheel cover which I just ordered should be here by the end of the week or early next week.

swbkrun - 2009-04-01 8:43 PM Tony hope you are feeling better?!

Yeah feel a bit better, I get this cold thing every year when the seasons change, annoying and makes me tired, grumpy and sick but still working through it.  Getting up early tomorrow for swim then 7 mile run to get ready for cherry blossom on sunday.

So what do you guys think about this for my disc?

http://cgi.ebay.com/HUGE-Silver-Transformers-Decepticon-Decal-18-x-16_W0QQitemZ370179688357QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item370179688357&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1262

He makes a ton of decals this one isn't bike specific but I am sure I can get him to convert it to a bike one.  He posted on Slowtwitch and a lot of people have ordered stuff from him and said he did a great job.

So next question is what color.

This is not an official pic of my bike I was taking pictures of the aero setup and snapped this one so messy background, turned wrong side, etc, don't count.

The guy suggested blue, I couldn't decide between that or Silver or White.

decisions, decisions, decisions...

I like the blue option, but it wouldn't be cool if the logo was too many shades different blue than the bike.  What about fading?  Will the color fade with direct sunlight exposure?

Silver would be sweet too.  White would be my default choice only because of the other graphics on the bike.

Those are cool.  I want one!  Sadly, I don't think I could push a full disc.  I don't weigh enough and the wind would blow me right over.  Besides, discs on a roadie?  Not so cool.  I'm telling you this tri bike vs a diamond question is getting serious now.  Look at all the extra toys that can come with a bike.

On a similar note, my husband plays hockey with a guy who does custom paint designs on goalie hockey masks and he has talked about having him do a custom job on my bike helmet. How cool would that be?

how about blue fading into white (or vice versa)?  ie you're going so fast that the blue is coming off.

I like the idea of white since you already have that for the logo.

What's up with that plant? looks like it might be past its prime. And who is reading Spooky Magic? Sounds like something a witch doctor might use!

Hey I said that wasn't an official picture so you wern't allowed to comment on the messy background.  Yes that plant is dead.  The magic thing is a kids travel game that my wife is hiding from the kids until we travel somewhere. : )

LOL, I can't use smiley's, I am testing out the new version of BT and smiley's don't seem to translate from this version to the old one.

Too lazy to look at your logs how far did you go?

Also BTW tell your fellow MS'ers to document Windows Embedded Standard better, there is like one guy in the whole world who is an expert, and he isn't always fast answering e-mails...
