Schwamm.... wow you are approaching "Champion" status... do you feel all tingly inside?

-B

Sure, but that has more to do with carbonated beverages than anything else.

Dude, I should have hit Champion awhile ago - but apparently, it has to do with how long you've been on BT as well as your post count.

Scout7 - 2008-08-01 9:09 AM The only time I ever got a massage was during physical therapy.

I've had two - and they are lovely. I'd get them more often if they weren't so darned expensive.

The only massages i've had... um. Yeah. i don't like people i don't know touching me.

The girl I go to see is my age and hot, but also ridiculously strong. I met her at a friend's birthday party, so it wasn't just some random person. Although, I don't think I would mind it if it was just some random hot girl giving me a massage.

I'd never let a straight guy that I wasn't dating give me a massage. Only female masseuses, please (except boyfriends). But eh, I guess it doesn't creep me out - at theatre school, we used to do all sorts of massage-y stuff to each other, because it helps loosen things up for speaking, singing, etc. Theatre school is very touchy-feely and you get over your hang-ups asap.

I've had to let  doctors give me the hernia check, after that I was pretty much ok with whoever needs to work on my body doing what they needed to do.

Scout7 - 2008-08-01 8:14 AM I've also never done the ice bath thing. Also never saw a need.

Yeah, can't say I'm down with that one.

I'm thoroughly convinced that icing helps me a ton. Can't possibly hurt, at any rate.

I used to have to soak my elbow in an ice bath.  Hated every second of it.  No way I am sticking my whole body in there.

Same for me and elite - I have the post count - but not the number of days required.

Well, up until now, I've had to just use freezey packs, since I didn't have a bathtub in my bathroom (now that I've switched rooms, I do). But I did do one full-on ice bath in a very large rubbermaid storage bin. It was cold for the first couple of minutes and if I shifted around and stirred up the colder water, it was cold, but not unbearable. LaurenSU02 told me that the water only has to be about 60ish for it to be effective. You don't have to freeze your junk off. Plus, I don't have junk, so it's probably different

Beside PT the only other person to give me a massage was a friend of mine who had been certified.  I've done the ice bath a time or two, it helps but I find it best not to get into that state in the first place.

Yeah - once you have had a nurse check your catheter - not so much in the shy department.

Rynamite - 2008-08-01 8:28 AM Never had a professional massage. I've had girlfriends massage my shoulders and back... but don't particularly like it.

There's a huge difference.  My massage therapist could drop me with some of the ways she knows how to loosen muscles up.  She's one of the few sports massage specialists in the area, she also does a lot of work for the guys who are in the MMA training thing here in the quad cities.

Eh, the time I did the full on ice bath, I wasn't in serious hurt. I'd ridden 50 miles, which was the longest I'd ridden in one day. So I tried it out to see if it would help. I did feel pretty good the next day. Mostly, though I ice my legs after running.

Most girls give p*ssy massages. You really have to dig. I have no qualms about digging underneath someone's shoulderblades.

When I played ball - our PT was a guy - so we got massages (that is stretching the standard definition of the term on a baseball team) from him all of the time, whenever anything had to be worked out.  He was this really big, really strong weight lifter type and his point was not to relax you.  I didn;t find it weird.  When I get them now, I have a female do them.  It is amazing to me how some of these petite looking girls are so strong with their hands.

OMG, I LOVE when people really dig. In choir, we do a little line of shoulder massages during warm-up and people are always afraid to really dig because I'm small and they think they are hurting me. So I have to tell them to dig hard.

Stewie (to one of the prostitutes at Cleveland's house): So, is there any tread left on the tires? Or at this point would it be like throwing a hot dog down a hallway?
