A little birdy told me the water bottles were being filled let's have a look. That's the old blacksmith shop, yes when we started treating water the primary mode of tranportation was horses. Now it's the water bottling plant. The next pic is the capper it just came back from the factory for a $5000 retrofit, last year we could not use the capper because of the sport type caps, now we can. The last is yours truly sporting the very finest in wicking material, with a freshly filled bottle of the Ohio rivers best.

Now for some water quality updates, most of these figures are taken just up river at the white water tower you see about a mile from Tumble weed on your left.

Raw water temp. 81.22 degrees.

Turbidity 16.5 very very low, this is great even with all the rain we have had. Should be able to see the giant catfish before they see you.

P.H. 7.68 just like pool water.

The river current is about 0.4 mph slow in my book.

These condition are excellent in my humble opinion, if the predicted air temps hold up we should see alot of PR's. Now this is the Ohio river valley and thinks can change in an instant, so don't kill the messenger if they do.

Say, that's a fine looking shirt. And some tasty looking H2O as well.

Yes, she can track you all day, it's actually very exciting to follow an athlete on line.

All she has to do is put your name or number in the Athlete tracker at ironman.com on race day and it will post where you are at, your pace, etc.

I believe that they also have a live feed of the finish, so if she plays it right, she can see your finish.

Good luck,

2266 Me
2154 My brother

See you there....

I contacted [email protected] on the day I broke my arm 8/09/09 and stated I wouldn't be able to race and could I get a refund.  She sent me back an email and stated no I'm sorry..no refunds.  I then sent her an email on 8/13/09 stating I would be there to race and sorry for the confusion.  I had a crappy diagnosis from an ER doc and should be healed up by the 30th. Now I have NO BIB #!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I am not even listed as a participant!  WTF?  Does this mean I can't race?~?~?  I just emailed her again, she must have not gotten the second email stating I would race....seriously could my life get any worse right now???
Just left her a voicemail too...hopefully I can still get in the race and they didn't give my spot away!

I am so upset.  To overcome a fracture and continue training and all the ups and downs of these past 2 weeks...now to have no bib #.  I think I'm gonna have a heart attack!  I didn't think they would pull me from the race.  I emailed her back but she never responded...I just assumed she was indifferent either way.  I don't see why they wouldn't just assign me a # and add me back to the list.  Hopefully it will be a quick fix.  If not I'm gonna be really F'ing pissed.
