Got in my 38 mile bike ride this morning.  Can you say HILLS?  Very fun but I am pooped!  Now off to yet another birthday party.  I swear all I do is train and attend kids' parties.

LOG YOUR MILES IN THE SPREADSHEET BY THE END OF TODAY!!!  WE CAN BE IN FIRST, I KNOW IT!

Got in a little over 15 miles on the bike. Haven't been out on the road much this year and it showed how much I'm lacking for my upcoming Du that includes 29 miles on the bike. Did follow up the ride with a 5.5 mile run/jog. Feet are definitely sore for some reason.

Did I hear that if you have a race you count the distance double?

Huge thanks to the very kind person who updated the spreadsheet with my training. I was planning to put my numbers in before anyone stateside was awake but it was already done for me.

Hope everyone had a good weekend!

So I did a quick sprint triathlon this morning and I had a great swim/bike/and run. well, the swim was bad because the buoy floated away and I swam toward it, but they were just waving people into the beach and I didn't see it, so i swam quite a bit extra. And in T2 I forgot where my shoes were. Beside that it was great. I had fun. Then did an hour and a half run.

AWESOME JOB THIS WEEK!!!! FIRST PLACE IS OURS TO LOSE......SO KEEP WORKING HARD!

What are you guys up to today?  Be sure to post some pix on here of scenery on your bike rides, you at races, or just whatever, as that makes this really fun!!

I don't have a scheduled workout planned but I may do either a run/swim combo at the gym or just swim a few sprints, since on Friday I made most of my swim endurance without much sprinting.  My legs are not tired in the least from the long ride yesterday....there's a part of me that isn't feeling well after the ride, but I won't discuss that!  Wait, I already did.  Oh well!  Have a great day today everyone!

I got back in the pool this morning (and it was a little cold), swam 1300 but was very sluggish.   hadn't been in the pool since last Wed due to travel and I could really feel it today.

I'm pretty sure my bike is getting ready to leave me, I haven't been on a ride in quite awhile.  As the garage door opened when we got home yesterday, there she was sitting there - puppy dog eyes and all, just saying to me "This garage is so boring.  Please take me out on the road, or get a trainer - something.  And don't think I don't know about those spin bikes you've been seeing at the gym."   Well, after 6.5 hrs of driving a ride just wasn't in the cards.  I hope she's still there when I get home today - I miss her too!

Fred Little - 2008-04-14 8:05 AM Great job everyone. We can keep this going. I have runs four runs scheduled for this week and three or four rides. This should be a good week.

I have a huge training week, as well.  Lots of volume, more than I have ever done.  Next week is even more.  My recovery week includes my duathlon.  I can safely say, barring any major trouble, I will hit my goals!  I may end up shuffling the workouts around due to a midweek conflict but it will all get done.  I did make it to the gym for a run and swim today, just a sprint workout for both.

Well, I managed my 64 minute run this morning!  Looks like tomorrow will end up being my rest day for the week, and I will do the ride/swim on Thursday.  Updated the spreadsheet--everyone is really doing great!!  Keep pushing hard for the second half of the month!!

Got in a mini brick at the gym tonight - 10 mile bike and 2.5 mile run. Off day tomorrow as Bowling with the boys. Weather supposed to be great around here so hope for a long bike ride between now and Saturday.
