Master 2005 Silverton, Oregon | Subject: RE: CHALLENGE Challenge - Grit Hi all! I finally got some biking in today! 19.58 miles to be exact. It would have been more, but I am very slowwww! Definitely, need to work on the biking! I'm heading to Vancouver, WA tomorrow, so I'm busy doing laundry and packing tonight. I'm going to stop in Hood River on the way tomorrow for about a 12 mile run along the old highway. It's just gorgeous there! I can't wait! |

I might swap out the black bottle cage and make them both red. The tires I'm thinking about are these: http://www.biketiresdirect.com/pvirp2/vittoria_rubino_pro_ii_road_tire/pp.htm

Expert 1060 Weymouth, MA | Subject: RE: CHALLENGE Challenge - Grit Thanks Robert. Would you make both bottle cages red or does it not matter? I am planning on getting in a very easy trainer ride to loosen up the legs and then get some stretching, steaming, and hot tubbing done at the gym later. What a tough day I have ahead of me! Great training btw! |

Elite 3595 Quebec, Canada | Subject: RE: CHALLENGE Challenge - Grit Hard to say, maybe ask your LBS if you can grab one to test it out. I'm pretty sure it would be really nice with both red and the red tires too. I did something similar with my other roadie I had before and I loved it. |

I'd definitely go with two red cages. It will pull it together more. When my mechanic was putting tape and cables on my bike he was saying you need full balance when you're adding color, ie, you don't want it all in the front and/or back, but rather spread evenly over the bike. I didn't do any color on my tires, but went with silver bar tape and silver cables on a silver, black and white bike and it turned out nice. |

Pro 4608 Brooklyn, NY | Subject: RE: CHALLENGE Challenge - Grit I'm planning a short run to the pool plus some extra on the tready, a swim and some steaming as well. I'm unfortunately under the weather again today so I'll keep the intensity low on all fronts. I'm putting a new saddle on my bike so I may do a short test-out trainer ride later tonight as well. I'll get in a strength session of some sort so I can move that challenge goal along. Due to my move and not feeling well, I'm falling behind. If I can't keep up, I'll just drop out. I don't want to drag the team down. |
