Hi all! I know some of you from past challenges and look forward to getting to know the rest of you! This'll be an awesome team! My intro:

I'm Roni, 38 years old, married with two adult daughters. I travel around the Pacific Northwest in an RV with my husband, Gary, who has to travel for work. I've been tri'ing for about 2 years now. Before that I had never run a mile straight and had only biked and swam recreationally. I finished 2 Sprints and an Oly last year plus 3 half marathons and various other running races.  I'm training for my first marathon on April 4th, but struggling with some tendinitis in my ankle so hopefully I can work that out. I'm also registered for Boise 70.3 in June, excited and scared about that one! My goals for this challenge are: 70 miles bike, 90 miles run, and 33000yds swim. Biking will probably be the biggest challenge cus I'm terrible at getting on the trainer and outdoor riding this time of year is pretty hit and miss. This challenge will help motivate me to get it done though. I love these challenges and BT! I don't think I would have done half of what I have without it. Congrats to everyone on challenging yourselves and good luck on hitting your goals!!!

Hi team!!! I've been eagerly awaiting our announcement. I look forward to getting to know you this month, although I know some of you quite well already (Beth! Mel! Rob!).

I'm 33 and live in NYC. I'm currently moving from Manhattan to Brooklyn so a good challenge is needed to keep me on track. I had a bike accident in August that ended my first tri season. I managed to run through November and did the NYC Mary, but after that, my motivation disappeared and now the holidays have taken a toll. So my goals this month are to get moving again consistently, even if there's no structure to it. I have run, swim and strength goals and intend to be on my bike a lot too.

I'm training for a half IM on April 5 - Ironman New Orleans 70.3 - and my first IM on September 13 - Ironman Wisconsin. 2009 looks to be a good year!

Nice! There is nothing better than fitting a workout into work hours. It's like stealing a little time back for yourself.

Hi team!

I like our name "grit". It reminds me of "grits". I never had grits before, nor do I know what they look like, but I heard they are pretty good

My name is Amy and I have just finished my second season of triahlons in 2008, finishing with my first ever olympic distance triathon. My goals for my third season of triathlons in 2009 is to get faster in the sprint and olympic distance races. I will start doing the longer races (half ironmans and ironmans) in 2010.

Hi Kristin and Beth and all my new peeps.

I'm Rob and this is the start of my second year of tris.  Last year I did two sprints and an oly.  I also did two half marathons.  This year I will do a couple sprints, hopefully an Xterra, the Boston marathon, a couple of half marathons, and Timberman 70.3.  No time for golf anymore!

A little known fact, I perform half time shows dressed as the Human Slinky...

Hi, I am Robin. Im 48 and arose from the ashes of beginning middle age this spring to do my first tri in the fall. I live in NC and have two step kids in college and a great DH who works too much and is involved in local politics. My goals this year are somewhat undefined but I am hoping to do an Olympic distance this year and a couple of local tris. There is a very cool 48 hr adventure race I would like to do but I think that may be next year. It has been a challenge balancing work and the rest of my life and training, like everyone else here.

As they say in the South: Grits is Gooooood!

I say: Grit is better!
