Well...my friend wouldn't let me stay at rest stops more than 5 minutes so I kept stretching and eating then riding....probably didn't eat nearly as much as my HRM said I burned but ZI never felt that hungry with keeping something in every 30-40 minutes.

Iced my sore lady parts and took a whirlpool bath.  Tomorrow is recovery swimming

thanks for the pointers, JUDI.

sore lady parts.  ouchie.

blujay65 - 2009-05-10 9:31 AM Had a nice little brick this morning; a 10 mile ride and a 3 mile run. With some decent times I might add. With bonus points it comes to 16.08 on the ride and 4.5 for the run, all for the team!

It was 94% humidity when I started, so it was a sweaty adventure non-the-less, but I had lots of hydration and I felt pretty good. I actually like bricks, I just don't do them very often.

Now it's time for breakfast, some turkey bacon with whole wheat blueberry pancakes! Yea!!

WOO HOOO MISS BLUJAY.  YOU DID-A BRICK-A.

WRACKING UP THOSE POINTS.

loved your menu items

i had the BEST time today at my race.

was running/pacing a friend who a racing/running newbie.

she asked me if i would run with her - she was a bit intimated w the whole racing thang.  i told that id be more than happy to.

it was the BEST race experience ive had, truly.

to see her struggle w confidence.

to rise to the occassion.

to do better than she expected (i picked up the pace a little on the third mile, unbeknowst to her.  wink. she was doing GREAT and underestimated her abilities)

and be a few strides behind her as she crossed her first finish line.

PURE ELATION.

LOVED IT.

It was a well supported ride...no official results that I know of.  When I signed up I mentioned it counting double and was not corrected then...plus is shows up on my calendar as a green square which BT calls races.....

I'm glad I used minutes instead of yards swimming for this challenge, because this morning's workout was pretty bad.  My mind was all over the place.  Once I was so distracted that I hit the wall with my hand before I realized I was at the end of lane.  (Just glad my hand was out in front, so it wasn't my head!)  I stuck it out for the whole time, though.  I wasn't giving up any of my minutes just 'cause I wasn't in the mood to swim.  Not with a challenge to win!

Had a great swim tonight, was having a bad day so I was pleasantly surprised it went so well. Did 2050 yds, most amount of yards I have done in one session.

I have my first tri on Saturday and plan to do an OWS on Wednesday evening and again at the race site on Friday. Looking forward to swimming without walls.

Good luck on your tri!!!! Swimming without the black line is sheer pleasure

I rode today and ran 13 miles yesterday. I need to get some bricks in. How are we calculating our bricks? Do we just add it to the numbers of our miles???
