I forgot to add that I talked to Pam's husband when she was at mile 13... she couldn't move her toes... hot spots... was really hobbling and was planning to hit the tylenol and another pair of toe socks at special needs...

At least her hip wasn't bothering her.

Her first run split had a pace of 11:07/mi.
The second was 11:48/mi.

Hot spots or not, she's doing well.

SuzanneS - 2009-06-21 9:49 PM Pam's 2nd run split just in 2:28:44 at mile 21.75 she's holding at 11:48 pace- she should be finishing in the next 30 min or so... don't know how much of a delay there is...

Do you know what she is wearing?

I keep thinking we are witnessing the last 10 seconds of these folk's year long journey!

Each one has a story....overcame personal opstacles that we will never know....think of how many miles of training are represented out there today.  2000 IM racers x maybe 2000 bike training miles each = 4 million biking miles!!

You are so right..so many yards, miles logged both running and riding!

Lots and lots of obstacles for sure as everyone has one or sometimes a few to overcome.

Man this is motivating to watch.....

BAMBAM66 - 2009-06-21 9:48 PM I'm starting to get worried McFuzz's 2nd split isn't up yet.

If he keeps the same pace as the 1st split, his second should be around 12:08, so its still a little early.

Her plan was to run in her tri shorts and a pink and black and white malone coaching bike jersey... don't know if she stuck to the plan...

She should have hit the 21.75 mat at around 6:38 so I expect her to finish around 10:20 EST give or take...

WOO HOO!!!! Craig did great!!! Got to see him cross!

Got a report from the course that Jen might need her inhaler. Her first 7 miles was at a 13:00 mm. She can run a 10 mm or faster.... but I'm sure she is holding strong and will finish no matter what. That girl is strong!

Watching this makes me cry! *Wipes a tear*

That's SEVEN sub-4 marathons!  Awesome work y'all.

Lila had the fastest run and moved up 11 spots in her AG to take 4th!

I came back to our room at the end of my shift of catching.  The boys and I are going back to watch him finish and I have it cleared to be the one thast catches him.  It was drizzling when I came in and was cold.
