Just to the peach challenge. I need to run today, but it is pretty cold here (at least for what we are used to!) My plan is to run on my lunch break when it will be a little warmer. Can't find my ear band though, so I may have to wear a cotton sweat jacket with a hood. I will have wicking layers underneath. Hope it works! Once ya start running it will get warm....at least that's what they tell me! LOL Yeah, after the first mile or so, I quit wondering if I was warmer enough and began thinking about what I could shed! |

Plenty of side roads in subdivisions to run on. I have my crossing guard vest and wool socks so I'll be safe. All the bosses are away today so should be able to get out early. Happy Snow Day everyone! Do stay safe and HAVE FUN |

I am jealous. I love snow. We had a massive snowstorm here this time last year. I bought myself Yaktrax! Have you heard of those? Fantastic for running in the snow. Love them! Now I just need to dig them out! |

Veteran 194 Denver, CO | Subject: RE: Christmas Cookies - Du-December Challenge Well I got a great swim in last night - 2000 meters, which is the longest swim I've done in quite a while. It's been absolutely frigid in Colorado (below zero right now), so getting in the 85 degree pool last night felt like a nice warm water hug. Does anyone watch The Biggest Loser! I always love the finale shows and seeing everyone's progress - so inspiring. The marathon episode was pretty amazing too. |

Heard of Yaktrax and will probably break down and buy them at some point. Until then, I just run with shorter, lighter steps. Last year I fell only once...trying to run too fast! |

Master 2429 Falls Church, Virginia | Subject: RE: Christmas Cookies - Du-December Challenge Okay, looks like I need to be a Tough Cookie: We are in LAST PLACE! I don't want to be on a losing team, so pull yourself up by the fins, cleats or laces and get those workouts in. Remember, the other teams are supposed to fear the Christmas Cookies, not eat us for breakfast. Inspire (and by that I mean shame into working out) your fellow team members who seem to be slacking and let's make a comeback by the end of this week, okay? I'm heading off to bed, and first thing in the morning I'm getting on the trainer. G'night! |

Cold I can deal with, 30+ mph winds and rain I cannot. I still need to update the spreadsheet. I can't do it from work, and I don't think about it from home. I'll write myself a note. Stay warm everyone. |

Master 1841 Sendai, Japan | Subject: RE: Christmas Cookies - Du-December Challenge Hi everyone. Nice to see all the chatter in the thread. I got in a run this morning and a swim this evening and I'm currently ahead of plan. My left shoulder is kind of sore, but I won't swim again until next Monday and I'm hoping to get it sorted out by then - lots of ice, aspirin and massage. Have a great day! Dan |

Stay warm everyone. I'm starting to believe that tailwinds are a myth. I frequently have a headwind, winds to either side, or no wind, but I haven't had a good tailwind yet. There are days that it doesn't matter which way I turn I still have the headwind. I haven't figured that one out yet. |
