rnihill - 2011-02-04 8:20 AM Oh, and instead of going home and relaxing with a nice bottle of wine or other relaxing Friday activity...  He wants me to ride with him tonight.  For a whole movie.  2 hours and 10 minutes of move.  Eh, it's quality time with the hubby...  right?

LOL I wish my hubby would do that... He refuses to ride.

I drag my chubby hubby to the gym....he gets on the elliptical while I swim or lift.

He wanted to buy bikes 5 or 6 years ago, we all bought hybrids.  I am the only one who rides and I got rid of the hybrid a long time ago.

He does run for ice cream though. (and the TV remote)

Mine is funny because he goes through spurts...  He goes through months of inactivity, or dabbling in exercise.  Then he gets a goal in mind and goes all out.  Right now, he's clearly on the motivated side...  Oh well, it's not like I don't need the exercise.  And it is nice having someone to work out with.

I am such an idiot.  I had to go to Walmart (the most evil store on the planet, in my opinion) over lunch and picked up a bag of Sweethearts for my kids.  They love reading them.  And eating them. And I think some of the new sayings are funny, like "Text Me".  They didn't have that one when I was a kid!

But now they are sitting here next to me at work.  Taunting me.

QueenZipp - 2011-02-04 11:57 AM Soooo, my daughter convinced me to fall for the buy 6 of Bryers ice cream and save 20 cents/ gallon on gasstore ad....Now I have 6 half gallons of various flavors Bryers in the house to avoid like the plague.  I guess I will be claiming my bonus points for avoidance!!

You will be my HERO for avoiding that ice cream!

So far avoided it.....

So many heroic stories of food temptation avoidance! Way to go!

This month I decided I'm not going to track my veggies because I've been going nuts with life things (job/future worries) and I want to keep it simple. I know that won't be an issue though because it only puts me at a disadvantage points wise. This will give me extra drive to complete my training sessions.

So, my ride never happened last night...  As I was putting #2 to bed she started crying that she thought she was going to throw up.  So I spent most of the night sitting with her...  Fortunately, nothing ever came up!

So today, I have to make up for it.  I swam today.  A run will happen later after I dig out the mailbox.

My achievements this week - avoided the hamper of goodies sitting in my desk drawer all weel. Even harder, didn't buy any creme eggs shopping yesterday (I love Easter chocolate!). However, my proudest achievement was this morning. I took the bike out and got a flat (not having a good run of luck recently). Anyway, for the first time in my life I actually changed the whole thing myself and only took 12 minutes which I was quite proud of (I usually get my hubby to do it at home). Hurray!

<--- Sick. Hacking up a lung. Or two.

Bleh.

But then again, if I can't taste food, maybe I won't eat as much of it.

Thanks! I did have a flu shot.... but this sure feels like the onset of the flu.

(Hopefully, the stupid virus isn't in the process of mutating....)

I kind of want to sleep, but I can't sleep. So I've been lying around all day.

Not to be a pain in the you-know-what, but I think you need to fix your numbers on the spreadsheet.

I'm glad you are able to do some training!

Went on a very nice run through the marsh today.  It was wonderful listening to the marsh birds twittering while I ran.

Completely failed to avoid temptation today. My friend bought me a pineapple cake back from Taiwan and they are my major weakness. Just ate and enjoyed it
On the plus side, at least she didn't bring me a whole box as usual because that would spell massive trouble!

You can still join!  Pick a team and log your training from this past week on the spreadsheet!  The f&v servings may be hard to log unless you log your food though.

Excellent.  Just logged the f&v I can remember for certain - having fruit every day for breakfast helps Laughing

Only 1 more day left of week 1!!

Couple things to remember:
~you can only get 1 bonus point in each category (foregoing one junk food and 1 point at the end of the week if you got some sort of physical activity in each day).
~I'll post the standings for each group Tuesday afternoon so make sure you get everything for week 1 logged.

Keep eating your fruits and veggies and get your workouts in!!
