only 11 days in and this is already my biggest bike month of the year... a rather pathetic reflection of my bike volume this year i suppose... |

Royal(PITA) 14270 West Chester, Ohio | Subject: RE: November 'get my A$$ on the trainer' challenge Skipped Jorge's plan today, woke up late.....planned to do it after work but my daughter was in a car accident. Thankfully she's fine. The car is probably totaled. Other driver veered into her land and hit the front quarter panel so hard that the wheel was bent on the axel blocking her door. Pretty unusual for the cops to say the newly licensed teen was not at fault. |

I was impressed that she managed to maintain reasonable control of the car and didn't roll it or land in a ditch. I ride my bike on these back roads all the time and they can be bad at that time of evening. |

Very scary for you am am sure. Is that the car you just had repaired? What a bummer! |

She calmed down okay, but she's worried about getting to school now cause supposedly if you drive to school the bus needs 2 weeks notice that you will be using it after all. Even if it is stopping at that stop for other kids.QueenZipp - 2011-11-11 10:15 PM Skipped Jorge's plan today, woke up late.....planned to do it after work but my daughter was in a car accident. Whew...glad she is okay. Looks like that car was just not meant to be! Plus, be thankful you have a kid who is actually worried about getting to school, I can think of a lot who would think "sweet, I have no car and the school won't let me ride the bus for two weeks even though it is right there so I guess they are giving me a two week vacation!" I can FINALLY run again, my piriformis ha let up the pressure and I was able to do 7 comfortable miles on Saturday. And I hate to say this on this thread but...WHEW I WAS GETTING SICK TO DEATH OF THE BIKE! Hahaa more to the point, my bum was getting sick of the bike. It will be nice when I can feel it again. I am a 2-3 days a week max biker so the last week was challenging to say the least. But I have a good base for my 13 hours this month!! Keep up the good work everyone! |

Only problem is that the route has more stops than before so she isn't too sure how early. I suggested that tomorrow she should head down 10-15 min before last years stop time.QueenZipp - 2011-11-14 5:51 AM 90 min aerobic base intervals, cursing Jorge the last 20 min of it!! Champion 5522 Frisco, TX | Subject: RE: November 'get my A$$ on the trainer' challenge Finally got my fat butt back on the bike tonight for 45min of moderate spinning. I was supposed to do jorge's 20 min test, but my legs are too thrashed from my 10k on Sat and my 9mile long run this morning to do it today. I will get a short recovery run done tomorrow morning and then go for Jorge's test tomorrow night... |

Expert 1083 The Woodlands, TX | Subject: RE: November 'get my A$$ on the trainer' challenge So sore from my marathon Sunday so I'm repeating Jorge W2 this week rather then testing. This challenge was good motivation to get on this morning rather then sleeping in! The new trainer tension helps make smooth circles (yay! Thank you!) but my HR still isn't raising like it does on a spin bike. |
