As you can see the wife is not a fan of running, but we still think its important to keep the kids active, especially with fun little races like this. This was the night after a 14 mile long run for me, 5K never seemed so long on tired legs. Woke up early to take advantage of one of the best places to take a run, which is shoreline drive. Temps were low for June, humidity was high, traffic was light, and the sunrise was awesome. Following my 12 miles I went down for a stroll on beach....I tell ya folks there are a lot worse ways to start off your day.
