Ummm... so what you're saying is we're not normal? Yeah, OK, I'm good with that. I swear I'll try to behave. Obviously I'm still trying to catch up... I'll shut up now and keep reading.

Normal is overrated. Anyway, according to the children's book, Leo the Lop, "Normal is whatever you are".

Funny, but I've passed that "point of no return" to where I want (really want!!!) to swim!

Did my first December swim this morning: 1800m (16.3% of goal). I had been planning on only 6 swims this month, but I've figured out how to rearrange the schedule a little to get in at least 7 swim. There should be no reason for me to not exceed my goal!

OK, yeah - that's just creepy... Congrats!

enders_shadow - 2007-12-02 8:49 PM Elves, freaky. Gnomes, cool. Boy with grandpa on Amazing Race (Nicolas?), jerk. Kristen

I find gnomes a little freaky, too. There's a nutjob man who built a stone house not to far from mine. By house I mean castle. Yes, really, a castle. As in he believes he is the king of his castle, literally. It even has a moat, which is actually a swimming pool, that is big in back and then encircles the castle and you have to cross a bridge over the moat to get in. Yeah, really. There are gnomes all over it and they, among other things about the house and its residents, make me askeered.

Can you post a picture of this?!? Doh, you already have!

Mornin All, Sorry I seemed to have disappeared over the weekend. Got sick on Sat. Feel like I'm still trying to recover. Did nothing til 3pm yesteday, when I finally got the umph to get out of bed and shower. Don't know if I ligitimately got a bug, or if I made myself sick from swallowing too much chlorine "trying" to "swim" on Sat morning.  Lesson learned, when have acid reflux, don't drink V8.

Might try to swim this afternoon.  Depends on headache.

Right now, maybe I'll walk down to the  coffee shop and try their seasonal Gingerbread Latté.

Later Elves!

Hi,

So glad to be here! Today was a big day because today I passed 100,000m swam this year. It was right about this time last year that I first got back into the water and discovered that I was a pretty poor swimmer. I guess I've come/swam a long way since then!

Nicole

That's great Nicole, congrats on such a huge accomplishment! Funny you still get to keep swimming this month

Funny, but I've passed that "point of no return" to where I want (really want!!!) to swim!

Great job Nicole! Something tells me your going to kick this challenge in the butt.

Like Nicole said, by the time this challenge is done and the percentages confirmed your team won't know what happened when their left so far behind. Stick to the kiddy side of the pool reindeer.

Loopy reindeer look after they lose. LMAO

oh, wait should I have put that in a larger font size?????????????????

4200 yds, which = 3840 meters

Yes, thanks!

My mistake...since Ms. is commonly pronounced Mizz, I thought Mz. might be the 'new age' spelling.  My fault...carry on...(we may not be able to spell, but we can read...I think that's much more important...)

1.  I am frequently called Sassypants but usually there is no Miss, Ms., Mz. or Mrs. preceeding it.  I won't fight anyone for the title.  Sassitude is simple, either you've got it or you don't!!

2.  Oh dear, Sal.  Not only can I read but I can read invisible font as well as spell and write.  Don't make me post raspberry picture... not here... these people, they don't know what an evil elf I really am.  A lot of them think I'm actually nice!

3.  I just want all the other elves to know that I had to get up at the crack of insanity this morning and then go to not one but two gyms to get my albeit cut too short swim in before teaching a spin class.  Toot toot, pat pat.  I wonder how much I spent on gas for that 9 minute swim.  Incidentally, it's Sal's fault.

If you can't read, how do we know you can count?

Your lap counts are off. Penalty for this is to start over. From the beginning.

OK. You are now at lap #1.

You may begin swimming....

You seem to have jumped from me having trouble reading a small, blurry image to me not being able to read at all...I detect a flaw in your logic. If I'm going back to lap #1, I think you need to go back and repeat a few grades in school. Let me know how that goes.
