I had a maple brown sugar "pop-tart" thing this morning - again. Yom. It's healthier if it's whole-grain and organic and stuff, right??!

So today my wife is turning in her tenure portfolio for review.

I have been helping her put it together for the past couple of nights... the guidelines told her to put her pages in page protectors--you know, those plastic sleeves... and each section needed to be separated with tabs... except when she put it together, the tab sheets didn't stick out past the page protectors.  So last night I sat and cut a couple of unused tab sheets into one inch strips.  Then I taped those strips to the already labeled tab sheets so they would stick out past the page protectors... ugh.

Oh, and then I burned some cds of my wife's recordings to put into the  packet.  But we are all done now.  It's all over except for the people who are going to tear her apart... which for some reason is bound to happen despite all that she does.  It's like a rite of passage.

Academia is totally based on being an old boy's club and torturing the new people trying to get in.  At least frats are up front about the hazing...

I'm driving because I don't want to fly. I'm going for work.

Cami, what's the best steakhouse in Des Moines?
