Was feeling blah so at 11 when NBC announced that Obama had it in the bag, I went to bed.(....) Now my throat hurts Wait - did I miss something in the middle? Not mudslinging. You are allowed to say "I am sad that McCain" didn't win. But mudslinging is uncalled for - as would have been the case if Obama had lost. It isn't mudslinging at all - it is a statement based on fact. The current president elect has come out and firmly stated that he believes in gun control, i.e. taking handguns off of the street and repealing all but the strictest conclealed carry laws. It is a statement of fact that he has made 1000 or so times this campaign (one that I happen to disagree with). His "supporters", in celebration, went out last night and fired handguns into the air. It is the definition of the word ironic. Mudslinging indicates an unscrupulous attack - a stement based on fact is not unsrupulous, it is factual. DO NOT - tell me what is proper or improper for me to do. YOU do not control what is said in TAN. |
