June Bugs (Page 71)

Got 20 minutes in of running this morning...

I'm gonna be playing basketball with the boys today at lunch...for the first time...should be interesting.  I've been told they basically just run up and down the court - so I WILL be counting that!!  (A good estimation of time!)

I say we try to post as many as we can today.  I like reading short little posts...sorry for anyone who has to catch up though...hopefully it'll be a quick read!

4th of July has never been the same since I lived in Nebraska.  It was legal to shoot fireworks off (not sure if it still is...) 

...cont... Every 4th of July you basically set of fireworks all day - so much fun!! (Assuming everyone was safe!)  At night you just sat outside and watched your own and your neighbors!!

...cont.... Then the next day was clean up day and it smelled like fireworks - - that smell still brings me happy memories!!

I've never seen fireworks over the ocean though...that could be way cool!

I think my plans may include doing a 4 mile run on the 4th - but I'll be walking a lot of it!!  I dislike running and it's my weakest link...so this challenge was great - good motivation to keep doing it..till I either get better OR like it OR both!!

Anyone else avoiding work?!?! Hulloooo?

When I grew up on Long Island they would shoot the fireworks off from a barge anchored off the beach and we'd watch from the board walk (with several thousand of our closest friends). It was so much fun. I miss it.

Well, my schedule called for a 3.7 mile run today but I couldn't stand the idea of ending up 1/2 mile short of goal. So, I got r done! w00t!

Well, there's the TdF biking challenge! Also need to get my heel completely right so I can push up to 10k distance.

I've got a tri on the 12th, I do the swim for a relay tri in August, and then my first oly in September.

Hey teamies, I am back from camping and trying to catch up at work. I am 5 miles below my goal so this afternoon (heat or no) I'll get it done. I swear.
I didn't get a chance to catch up with the 4 days of chat I missed. I was great being a bug for the month!

There aren't any fireworks here, so I'm not sure what I'll be doing for the 4th.

There's been discussion of barbecue and/or camping, also possibly canoeing. But nothing definite.

Hi peeps!  I'm running after work to finish off my goal for the month.  Nothing like the last minute. 

I had another run yesterday, and I'm attempting my first bike ride tomorrow, in preparation for next month's TdF challenge.

I don't know what I am doing for the 4th.  I have to run 7 miles in the morning on Saturday, but I have Friday off and the rest of the weekend free.  

Just means you picked the perfect goal for the month!
