ebshot - 2009-06-12 6:50 AM Oh.My.Goodness.

I'm dying.  Way hungover this morning.  Put me out of my misery.  Please.  I am never drinking again.  Good thing today is a rest day.  I can't bear the thought of....well anything.

Excuse me while I lay on the couch all day.

Let's see, how many times has each of us said that?  Erica, does having a glass of wine constitute drinking?

Yeah, I'm easily amused

Me too... but my excuse is its bed time...

Don't start on the rhum and coke Cat, I heard it's no good for hangover

Is that an old English way or French-Canadian way of spelling rum??

Phil, you got to get out here and drink some rhumwith me my friend

Rhum
is the term used for rums from French-speaking locales, while rhum vieux is an aged French rum that meets several other requirements.

I guess my french side can't be hide when I start talking about rhum

The guy at my LBS swore to me that these help a hangover, and he is TOTALLY right!  My fav is the orange ginger.  Yum!

Not really.  I was on a challenge team with Phil a few months ago and it was kind of like the Emperor getting his hands on Anakin Skywalker, except without the cool lightsabers.

My son is sick, so I get an unplanned day off.  Not really motivated to do anything with it yet.  So far I've just been lazy.  I was up during the night with the kid, so I'm kind of tired.  Might take a nap.

Remember the cheesecake that your mom used to make from Philadelphia cream cheese and graham cracker crumb crust....

Now take a second one and turn it over on top of the first to make it double-ly good...

Now make it oreo crumbs instead of graham cracker crumbs....

Put some chocolate streaks on a plate....

Set 1/6th of this deliciousness on top of chocolate...

Top with whipped cream and a blackberry....

-----That is what I had for dessert.....

Just 1/6th? I'd have had at least 1/2.

I had to search back through the previous challenges to find this post, but check out this cheesecake....

Chocolate coconut cream cheese king cake. I'm stilll trying to find the right occasion/excuse to order one. Maybe I should tell the family it'd make a great father's day gift!

That has to be at least 1000 calories a bite!  YUMMMMM!!!

Damn, the feeling a couple fo days before the HIM like that must be really special. You will so kick out there Neal!

Yeah, I'm finally starting to get a little nervous.  With all the racing I've done the past few weeks I haven't had much time to give this race much thought.....till now

Good luck, Neal....you will be awesome!

Mornin' everyone.  It's another crazy day in paradise -- started out with a steamy, humid, consequently slow run though!  I hope everyone has a fabulous day.

It sounds like summer is in full swing for you!  It's still gray and cold here.  I don't get it, it's JUNE.  It should be warm and sunny.  Not rainy and in the 50s.  Boo.

I'm heading to Cleveland for the weekend, and hope to get some decent running weather.  It's miserable to trudge through the humidity -- feels like I'm swimming instead of running.

I hope you get good cool weather in Cleveland!  I hate the humidity....I couldn't live in Fla!

Okay -- I lived in OK for 33 years and never had any tornado damage.  In TX now and had one go right over our house last night!  All is well, so far (still storming) - just minor roof damage and tree branches everywhere.  At least I still have electricity and internet

disturbed275 - 2009-06-11 6:16 PM SO I'm deciding to forgo my group run tonight in hopes of having some fresher legs for Saturday.  Don't worry though.  I still plan on hitting my goal.
I'm not worried. I have a nice collection of tasers and cattle prods. And lots of spare batteries for them.

OHHH.... Cattle prods now is it?

Well, it was originally cattle prods.... Then I discovered tasers.

Now I am truly frightened!!!  I swear I will make my goal!  I am going to go run in the morning!  I promise!  Who needs a taper for sprint anyway....

Too bad this isn't a swim challenge. Cattle prods and tasers mix really well with pool water. (Especially if I add a little salt to the water first.)

OUCH!

Maybe she needs the glass of wine today, as a recovery formula from the rhum and diet-coke.
